1st Timer - Pregrow plan check by veterans

Hello all,

I've done some reading, some more reading, and a bit more reading and finally feel like trying my first grow. However, before being doomed from the start, I wouldn't mind some look over and advice from someone with experience. I'll list my setup and plan, just let me know if I'm missing anything crucial.

I plan to use the Lucas Formula with the add back and dump method. I do not plan to use the top feed method with a water pump.

Supplies:
Peat pellets with humidity dome for seedlings
"Tupperware" container for a mini DWC
5 gallon DWC bucket with drain
3" net pots
Clay stones (Hydroton)
4 port air pump
4x plate style air stones
Floranova Bloom
pH up/down
3x blue spectrum CFLs
3x red spectrum CFLs
300w equivalent LED light (Mars)
pH & PPM/EC meters

My tap water is at 7.4 ph; will be pH down to 5.8. PPM shows around 125. Will be doing 8ml of Floranova Bloom per 1 gallon.

The grow space will be a spare bathroom, in the tub. I plan to start the seedling in the peat pellet and dome with CFL. Once it shows signs of roots outside the pellet, move it to the Tupperware container in a mini DWC setup using CFL. Once it is rooted well enough, move them to the 5 gallon bucket using the LED.

Sounds good. I wouldn't use the dome. Clones, yes but not with seeds. It increases the risk of them damping off.

BAULDERDASH!!! Why expect failure?

You have a wealth of information at your finger tips. Use what you learn and have already learned and you cannot fail. I spent a few months just reading, watching video, posting etcetera before I even started picking a strain I wanted to grow. My first grow was fukkin' awesome if I do say so myself.

You can cultivate cannabis...anyone with a desire to do it well and a little natural 'talent' per se' can!

I always use a dome for seedlings or clones. Helps keep the humidity up, but normally leave a vent or two open.
