Small closet space, minimalist style

So I’m looking to set up a nice little 5 plant grow in my bedroom closet. I have soil, seeds, and pots covered, the only thing I don’t have worked out is what kind of lighting system I want to use. As well as, what will use the lest amount of electricity. Any help would be greatly loved. This is my first grow, to just get some basics down.

Sounds like some CFLs might be best for you. It will take quite a few. They emit hardly any heat and use minimal electricity...

i tried what you are doing a month alter i am about to buy a tent for my emergency purchased, lol, 400 watt hps, inline cooling tube, fan and ducting. Its addictive to get it perfect, my first gorw lol! try a tent and energy saving ideas to run a hps, lol, good luck.

remember tho heat! i found anything above 95 and the plant says bye. 400 is hot id kil for a better inline or the heat of a 250, butt i wanna make it worth the while at least. htg garden and ebay got me going i could probaly build now after a month of playing around. oh well,

low watt hps or mh, stay away from cfl or led the technology is limited and you will not get enough lumens per sq in.. heat stress turns female plants in to herms

Ok, so I think I may go with the cfl, only beacuse they won't break my bank. Here are my measurements L=33in H=65in W=22in. How many do you think I will need to grow only 4 plants. I don't want to invest alot of money into this being its my first grow and the fact that I will be moving out within 4 months.

if i were you i would read the lumens guide for each plant and square foot, i forget wher i saw it, but its around, also the square foot guide for plants, its a quick google, but seems right looking at my 400s light. You could save up for a 250 or 400 hid and save in the long run. My person advice. im looking for a link for you

the standard for cfl's is 75 watts per square ft of growing space
