Week 5 flower, remove leaves or not?

Hey all, I'm hoping I could get some advice on removing leaves during flower.
I'm thinking of removing some of the bigger water/fan leaves that are blocking alot of buds receiving light.
Will this slow the progress down or will she bounce back like nothing happened. But more important will it effect my yields?

Thanks in advance

there are a lot of opinions on this subject . people that have very successful sog set up most of them remove the big fan leaves that block the light to the bud under it . some people do not cut any leaves at call . I cut the shit out of a plant and top it and super crop it . there are no leaves blocking light where its needed here ! my advice is if you have 2 plants trim one up and not the other and post back to us and next time you will be telling us you will be trimming all the leaves next time lol . trust me there will be a lot of posts telling you its wrong to cut a single leaf . some people are scared to try to improve there growing skills .

@bryan oconner to be honest this is my first grow so I'm open to trying different methods. The problem is the leaves on one plant affecting the other lol
I'll give it go and keep you posted

Thanks again

affecting ? please post us a pic . if the giant leaf is covering the bud and the bud is in shade . those leaves need to come off direct light on the bud makes the strong thc . leafs covering the buds makes bigger leafs . room go ahead and contradict me . but please have your iron labs or licensed test center , test slips available for us . samuelpeeps leafs should not be infected ? by what bugs mold ? lack of nutrients ? get that pick up so we can see it . go ahead do what you were going to do it will not hurt any thing

yes go for it . all those bottom branches are just pop corn buds any ways . waste of time trimming them and it actually affect yield leaving them there . never to late. actually more early the better but point less if your more then 5 weeks into flower . also idk if you know how to super crop or not check out some you tube videos . major yield increase . basically squeeze a branch just under the bud site until you feel a little pop . don't go to town on it over do it . my advice is do one branch and mark it . and when its all done you will see the major differences . I like to do this about week 2.5 or 3 weeks in flower so I know where the bud sites will be . can be done up to week 5 any later pointless to late . on your next grow we will get you to top prune and super crop every plant . no topping past week 1 in flower . best to do in veg need to watch some videos its commonly done incorrectly do not attempt on a first grow .you have to much to get used to doing correctly . I do it as soon as I throw it into flower speeds up the process my lighting is thousands of watts in flower .my veg is weak have to save some electricity some where not including the hamsters I have spinning my fans . joke either way keep it fun

@bryan oconner I have attached a picture of the canopy and as you can see there isn't alot of light reaching those bottom buds. I'm not having problems with any insect/ mold etc. But the amount of foliage is crazy lol are those fan leaves covering to much

Tuck them under new growth or buds (never remove leafs)unlesss it's the bottom growth your taking of like in a scrog grow, that receive no light.

there are only a few of them I would cut . only the ones directly covering the bud sites . I see a few leafs on the back of the pic . 3 leafs total disturbing the buds . your in good shape. hey I do see the fan leafs on a pic they are starting to fold down called the claw . would you post a pic of the ones doing this . you might be feeding them improperly we can get this problem addressed .

Unless you need to trim for better light penetration or because you need to de-junglefy you probably don't need to be cutting fan leaves.

Been pruning off fan leaves after four weeks for years. Doesn't seem to help them or hurt them. But more light by cutting off leaves should help. Seems logical so it must be right. Or is it just logical.
