You lost a shit ton of harvest - READ IT and weep!!If done correctly it does increase harvest weight and you'll have far less loss to larf in my experience...I defoliated a week before flowering I do all my ladies like thisView attachment 3690754
And here they are today two weeks later and one week into floweringView attachment 3690761Then about 2.5 weeks into flowering I do a little bit more defoliating but nowhere near as much as the first time, and that's it till the end of flowering, works like a charm for me.
Lol really, anything from UB I stay far away from, like what the hell, none of those are lower budsites, what a fucking joke. You lost a shit ton of harvest - READ IT and weep!!

BUT, please do what works for you!
I do a bit of "lollypopping" - NOTHING like that - But I grow taller more "natural" shaped plants too! Oh yeah I top them!

Really? There are some! Then take a look at Riddles plants! Sadly right now and for at least 5 more months....I can't run out and show you mine.Lol really, anything from UB I stay far away from, like what the hell, none of those are lower budsites, what a fucking joke.
I understand you're just trying to help me Doc, but we're just going to have to agree to disagree, because nothing I going to read is going to change what I've learned and experienced in the my personal situation.Really? Don't care for Bill eh? I may not like his political views. But, if.........Never mind, his personal life..
That's not a good start ;[thanks for the mature feedback //======// fuckn fuckwits
Good point why not just cut all the fan leaves off? There's no line drawing.Could someone explain the point of letting a plant grow 24 inches tall if you're gonna cut everything but the top 6 inches off? Seems counter productive.
Like I said Do what works for you!I understand you're just trying to help me Doc, but we're just going to have to agree to disagree, because nothing I going to read is going to change what I've learned and experienced in the my personal situation.
Hmm, someone else see's the light.Good point why not just cut all the fan leaves off? There's no line drawing.
I would truly like to see a pictorial progression of that! Larger single flower thing please! I'm not saying it can't be done but, every time someone takes that up, They quit and we have yet to actually "see" bigger budding by defoliation..Defoliation is necessary if done properly it can double even triple yields...you can use as a tool to speed up flowering cycle or create larger single flowers HOWEVER without proper experience and knowledge of horticulture i recommend less is more in this case..start with a few leafs n work ur way up..dont cut into a plant when it was began fruiting/buding it will lower final yield. (Week or 2 of give to that rule only if your experienced)...progressively (de-leaf) dont take alot off at once or it will slow growth..if defoliation is done proper the plant should grow faster and produce big better quality fruit... Referr to mainlining/supercroping/progressive defoliation
Nice!Left one plant alone for the most part, the other three I defoliated heavily at about week 6, and week 9 after germination. Not any difference in yield. But fuck! The defoliated plants were kicking out medium sized fan leaves with trichs, buds got super sticky. 40 grams of dried trim made 9 grams of dry ice hash.
I dont think it has anything to do with the light. I think it triggers the plant to go into defense mode and produce more resin. I also think defoliating removes an inhibitory hormone if done before flowering that allows the budsite to sprout a new stem. Just like LST. I train my cherry tomatoes the same way and can get them to grow wherever the fuck I want by popping off a big fan leaf.
Maybe people are doing it incorrectly leading them too wrong conclusionIf defoliation or any other techniques were tripleing yeilds there would be no debate, we would all be doing it.
