Underrated strains. Underhyped strains that produce the goods.

Seems like they get a lot of hype from seedbanks, but I underestimated it. With a few more grows I came to value how good FP was, I think my lightweight buds were due to growing method. I'm expecting better density under HPS, and the flavor and high were delicious and clear, after cure. Also; it seems to be a legit 8-week Sativa-dom.
What was your germ rate if you remember?

Fruit Punch was good, I'm growing it again. Here's my first go, under cheap LED and CFL, last fall.

While I'm at it, Paradise Seeds Delahaze is really nice.

Your Fruit punch looks awesome. Mine has a minty smell to it when growing, but once dried and cured it's like a lemony pine smell. Big buds, but not super dense like some other strains. The yield always looks like more than what you get, but still better than most. I have to get better at my pic game!

I'd only get a 5 pack myself and hunt down a good pheno. Im a small timer myself with a 12 plant max in MI.
I have a 0 plant max, in Mordor.

I can't take pics inside a tent for shit lately, not sure why. This first plant smelled straight up like Hawaiian Punch when growing, but took a long time for good flavor to return during cure, and yes, pretty fluffy buds, but resinous as heck. More bud porn!

Not sure if they are underated or not but two cheap strains I have enjoyed are thc bomb and pineapple express. To be fair the bomb was given as a clone and I grew out 5 fem pine ex. I still run the pine ex keeper and its been a few yrs, maybe 4 now.

Another I got as some freebies were royal queen critical. This is not anything I would have interest in but I put them both outdoors and they grew into giant, mold resistant, stinky monsters. I would try them indoors someday.

I don't know many people that bother growing out a strain that they are anticipating will be "shit".

I feed those ones to the birds
And then there's the occasional random bagseed that kicks ass, but what's there to say about that, except one got lucky?

It makes sense to me that these threads will be about what we like. What is over-hyped to someone else may seem underrated to another, there's a lot of products and not a lot of consensus. Some, not a lot.

Has anyone tried the herbies afghani freebies? I'm afraid to waste my time but have had afghani type ganja that was great.

Two freebies I did somewhat recently and loved were 2x alien og (grow your own) and silver kush (dna). Only one seed of the kush and 2 aliens. All 3 were great. I kept the better 2x alien but it went 86 from flip. Awsomeness with good yield and likes to be trained. But a little longer than I like. Even so easy to grow (soil) fast and big buds. After a pretty good stretch. Croud pleaser.

Some freebies I don't like (or want) are autos. Been there done that. No fire. None, no matter what someone says autos just plain suck.

i never grow my haze freebies, even though i know they are good. I just dont have the space or time to grow hazes. even skunk hazes etc. i havent grown herbies afhgani but seedsman afghani was better than some others i bought from there including ata tundra which was totally crap, and a couple others including the bad pheno of barneys violator kush.
Im gonna hunt for a good violator kush one day, i had one but mistakingly didnt clone it after bad results from the first seedling.
