First Outdoor Grow

I thought after lurking for a minute I'd share one of my grows. I've been growing indoors for the last 9 years, all of which were small closet style grows. Unfortunately, I had a security concern 8 months ago and no longer grow indoors. I've decided to try my luck outdoors this year for the first time and thought I'd log this grow for fun. At the moment I have some fems and autos going.

First up is G13 Cheese. IMG_3791.JPG IMG_3792.JPG IMG_3790.JPG

All the plants pictured were started in 1 gallon pots with miracle grow, then transplanted into 2 gallon smart pots with Promix HP.
The plants have been fed Super Thrive and FF Grow Big.

The BH are in 2 gal smart pots with promix hp and the PH is in a 5 gal pot with promix hp.

I have other autos I took pics of, but I mixed them up when I transferred them from my camera. I'll retake the pics tomorrow.

With your outdoor plants your going to want much bigger pots. Or put right into holes in the ground.

A 2 gal smart pot will need water daily in the hot sun as well. Which is a drag. I'm sure you've got it down. Commenting just in case.

Don't waste much space and time on your autos. Focus on your reg season. Twenty autos won't outproduce one good reg season plant in a giant 300 gal pot or well dug hole with proper soil. Also autos tend to suck outside, even more than they do inside. Bummer you lost your indoor but looks like your of to a good start outside.

Someone will chime in how they are awsome autos are now.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I get fly overs from tourist, military, wildlife officers, or the cops. I have to keep them small. I wish I could put them in my pasture and go all out, but I don't want to draw any attention.

I grew some vanilla kush outdoors last yr (and in) she did just fine and finished fast. This yr I have some hso pineapple skunks like yourself. Haven't done it before but it vegging fast and has a thick trunk for such young plants.

Did you grow them both indoors as well? How was your pineapple skunk? I've a couple outside and one indoors now.

Yea they stopped two yrs ago here with the helicopters. This will be the year they come back given my luck.

I do have lots of helicopters not looking for ganja daily. I don't worry about them unless in can see my plants on Google maps (which I can in the past) I think I'm good as I can be. Also the maps are outdated, not real time. Only the military has that I believe?

Make sure not to put more than a couple in one area. When they look I'm convinced they have found a plant or two of mine in the past but it wasn't worth the effort to come grab it. Two plants don't make the paper, the only thing they care about is numbers. At least here, your situation may be different?

Also in the ground I have found is as stealth as it gets outside. Having good areas to dig up away from your land may be an issue. Here we have lots of land gone fallow.

Never grown vanilla kush or the pineapple skunk. I don't usually run fems, got them to run outdoors.

Damn, you could see them on with Google maps? I'm going to have to try that.

Around my pasture I let the weeds grow and have the plants scattered throughout the weeds, so it's hard to see. I actually had a Cessna looking plane fly over when I was taking pics.

Yes I could see them but only because I knew they were there. Anyone just looking at Google maps would just see a darker looking Bush. At least I hope so. They were the diameter of a car that yr and I even had a run in with the st.popo heli flying around above I hid underneath a giant monster for a few mins before heading to the real trees. Almost had a heart attack but they left. That was the time I believe they were seen but let go because of only two and a total mess to get back there for an average cop.

Trails are a concern outside as well. People like to follow trails and they are more obvious than your plants from a heli. That is one or two plants. If you've 25 in one area it gets obvious quick what's going on.

If you can, you might consider transplanting to a 5 gallon bucket (painted flat green or camo of course) you'd still have the flexibility of moving them when you need to , while increasing root space / yield a great deal.

I'd also say do some heavy topping and branch training to form a bush, but if you've grown indoors, you probably already got all that down.

Fuck the flying pigs in the sky. Good luck to you.

I appreciate the advice. I may transplant them, but I don't want them to get too big. I wish I could train them, but I can't I have to try to blend them in with the weeds. I was planning on taking pictures today, went swimming instead. I'll take a couple pics of them in their surroundings tomorrow.

The fly overs get real annoying.

Here's a couple pics of the Cheese in her surroundings to try to show why they can't get too big or too bushy.

And some seedlings that I haven't figured out to put yet.

Roll It Uper's I need your help. I think this is mildew, not sure. I've had my share of aphids in my indoor grow after I moved chamomile plants indoors a few years back, never this.

Yeh that is mildew, I usually wet my finger and wet some of it off. I'm sure there's s better way of getting it off.
