I remember black and white cartoons...we didn't get a color TV till I was like 10
Well then I bet that you watched The Jetsons/Flintstones. When I was younger my oldest sister was fanatical about The Brady Bunch so while it was in syndication we'd watch it all the friggin time. That and Little HOuse on the Prairie. I can still remember the way the theme song started out

When I was a kid we had 4 tv channels...and you had to turn the antenna with a pipe wrench outside the house to tune them in
Hilarious. Tin Foil, the proper use of tin foil. We had 5 channels, then a 6th one from the states that kind of worked. But on those channels we'd sort of get the american cartoons saturday morning. It was like entering another dimension.

Satellite changed my young life, and I was remote-savvy enough to get passed the blocked channels.

80's.. SRV was 80s .. the album that came off of.. the sky is crying i believe was released in 91
Coincidentally I just listened to the sky is crying right after little wing. Unfortunately, we lost Stevie Ray, Texas's finest, in a helicopter crash in 1990. RIP brother, you were a friggin God on the guitar.

Hey I don't have directv or any service like that, just a box with rabbit ears connected to it. Charter would LOVE for me to pay for some extra stuff... but I am only needing the internet. I'll stream just about anything you can find on television. I'm so slick ;)

I still remember my dad buying an electric rotor so he didn't have to go outside with a pipe wrench every time we changed the channel. THAT was serious technology...

Yes and it also kept your young butt off of the roof during a snow storm trying to tune in Saturday Night Live :D *edit: I'm really stoned and i hope that that doesn't sound cynical :)
