Wtf happened to these?

So I started to get rusty spots and looked around and everywhere lead me to calmag deficiency. So I went and got the calmag and the next day the leaves look much worse! Did I add too much? Or could it be something else??! Someone please point me in the right direction! I have 5 gallon dwc, ph stays between 5.7 and 6.0, Temps don't go over 81F and that's on the hot end, usually about 78. 400w hps is about 2 feet over the canopy. Ppms are around 850 to 900. I am using tap water.

Looks to me like your burnin the hell outta them.... Well actually it looks like calcium deficiency but t the plants are too young to be showing that much, so im going to go with the obvious answer from what you wrote and thats nute burn. 850-900 ppms on one foot plants is way too much. Those plants should be at 400 ppm id guess. I fed one plant per light plants that filled a 4x4 at 900 ppms. Id run water for a couple days and then get the ppms right.

I thought nute burn started at the tips???? Not saying you are wrong, just from what I've read.... mine just started with brown rusty spots and holes and then I added the calmag and the pics showed what happened with the individual leafs. It looks like it's browning/yellowing from the main vain out..... ???

I agree its nute/salt burn from nutes either added or in the medium. Also dont let pots dry too much between waterings as this causes salt build up and burnt spots on leaves

Ok thanks! So I obviously change the res water with less nutes, but what do I do with the net pots? Just add non nute ph'd water from the top?

I dont know the system you run but i used to just take my lid off and switch out the buckets. You can syphon the other stuff out, use a drill pump, a shop vac, or just top feed in plain water until the ppm evens out to zero.
