They're saying the natos are hotter rounds for the 5.56. Its the opposite for the 308 and 7.62x51
saami says the 308 and 7.62x51 are the same but the 308 has several thousand more psi because of a thinner inside casing wall. WTF is going on here? I have 308 and can shoot 7.62x51 all day, why is it opposite from the 5.56 and 223? I was told to have the head spacing checked. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm not sure on the .308/7.62. On the 5.56. If it is chambered 5.56 it will shoot both. .223 chamber can not fire 5.56.

Yes, it is different if it can go full auto. Which is still legal with the right paperwork and tax stamp.

Also there are ways around banning assault weapons. Like on the ar15. The upper is not a firearm and can be bought on the internet.

Buy an 80% lower on the net to because it is not considered a firearm.

I then buy a 9 round clip for the ar-15 .458 or .500. It is the same clip as the 5.56 30 round.

So, you can't ban them.

They make polymer ones now that are black and you drill or dremel the white parts out.

It is completely legal to build yourself a gun. You just can't transfer it.

Just don't leave an empty shell in the barrel like this guy does.

So a few dozen people out of tens of thousands who own AR15s, makes you think no one is responsible enough to own them. Shouldn't the tens of thousands of responsible gun owners, the ones who DON'T go around killing people, actually be setting the standards? Should barbecues be banned because people use them how they shouldn't occasionally and people get hurt? Anyone's who's logic in a free society is "punish the many for the actions of the few", needs to stop and think about whether they actually care about true freedom.

I want to build one of those, without the stock. I'm waiting to get tubing, I don't trust the black iron, even though everything I see says it's fine, I know it's brittle. I had a potato gun blow up when I was younger, I got lucky. I don't want time think about what shattered iron would do.
