So all these governments spend billions and billions of dollars just to make people run and do pushups? I thought that was what PE classes in school were for
I understand that they do more like combat training and stuff, and that the running and everything is longer than any PE class would make you do. And it's every day for 9 weeks. And I know there is like a 40 foot wall, and some other stuff. I was just saying, it's not like it's impossible stuff to do.

They don't change your Biochemistry? Do you know why I'm sitting on my couch and not with my unit right now? Because I was retired for PTSD and TBI. Yes. It does change you. More often than not. I'd give up my pension if I could feel like I had a purpose again.

I wasn't always so angry or so hypervigilant. I used to be able to sleep. I used to be sensitive. Now, my own blood relatives think I'm a monster. No one comes out the same, some just aren't as bad.

It gets a bit easier bro, over time. But yeah, baby pre-Olive Drab is gone forever. Tough it out, I got faith you can

I don't think we will go to war with ISIS, they have not actually attacked us directly. And they want a war with the West so they can call it a Holy war, so Obama isn't going to send anyone in. But Trump might, but I think that his advisors and Generals and everything would tell him that that is what ISIS wants, because I assume Obama isn't just making that decision out of no where, he probably has a lot of people telling him it's not the best idea. So Trump will probably also have a lot of people telling him that.

And I don't mean to pry or anything, but have you tried Mushrooms or anything for the PTSD. The same way an experience can change you, an intense Psychedelic experience can change you (and it literally effects your biochemistry, to make it do things that it wouldn't otherwise do). They have done studies with PTSD and Mushrooms and even give prescriptions sometimes now I think in some states (Arizona?). And people who try Ayahuasca or DMT have some intense experiences. Maybe you should try going to Brazil and finding a place where they give you the whole Rain Forest, Shamanic experience. It does change people.

And then there is Iboga, it is illegal in America but it is such an intense experience and hits the Nicotine receptors and Opiod receptors in a way that it cures Heroine addiction. But it makes you purge, like throw up a lot, and stuff. And it could probably help with other things, Opiod addiction is just one thing that people have found it helps with. And people go to Brazil for that too I think, maybe Peru.

Then there is Mescaline. A few Peyote buttons could could do something.

And the only people that are really "in combat" right now are Drone pilots. And some of them have been getting PTSD I heard. But I don't think we will go to war again any time soon.

And I don't see how this could give too many people PTSD, it's just Chemistry.

Also, if anyone knows. I'm not worried about it either way, I just want to know, does CBRN school translate in to rank? I just want to do CBRN, so I don't care if it doesn't, I am just wondering.

Most of your job will be a mixture of maintainig MOPP gear and responding to Hazmat calls if necessary.
Ok. I have also heard that some of it is training Civilian Government about what to do if they are attacked with Chemicals or Nukes, or Dirty Bombs, and stuff like that. So you probably get stationed in America, unless we go to War and ISIS is using Chemical weapons (and they are), then there would be more of a need elsewhere. But right now most of it is just in America probably right? I don't care if I have to go somewhere else, I'm just assuming most of this happens in America.

Iraq and Syria are possible. Saddam's regime stockpiled mustard gas, nerve agents, etc. So, that's possible. Not so much in Afghanistan. I didn't even take my MOPP gear with me to Afghanistan, not even my promask.

I think there are only like 10,000 or less people in Iraq and Syria. So it's possible, but that is a small number, and I am sure they send higher ranks, since it's train and assist, they don't need new people trying to train Iraqis and Syrians.
