By the way, what the heck is that in your avatar?
LOL! It's called a cicada. It's a beetle that lives underground for 17 years and then they all emerge at once, shed their exoskeleton (that's what's in my avatar -an empty exoskeleton) and turn into these giant, grasshopper-like flying things and they have huge red eyes. They don't bite or cause much harm. Then, when they lay eggs and the grubs are born, they go back underground to develop for the next 17 years.

oh for real every 17 years?? what a trip? Are they all on a cycle or do a percentage of the population emerge every year?

so was I very fortunate to experience the hypnotic trance-like sound that thousands of cicadas makes when I visited the carolinas back in the day?(canuck)

Sorry major offtopic but it's just too interesting. I LOVED that sound. :peace:

Yeah, man! They ARE weird! They emerge in "broods"...but each brood emerges all at once every 17 years. No one can really explain them as far as that cycle and why...at least as far as I know! here is a link for ya!:

bubba kush is still one of my faves taste wise.. hard for me to beat that coffee, hashy, chocolate taste of bubba..
Thats what I am saying, its one of the best tasting buds I ever grew, next to my fav C99. Lol. Working on some project 13 seeds a friend here hooked me up with to see if I can get a good Cherry pheno. I will take a good tasting weed over potant weed as a personal preference. But I am a one hit wonder so it dont take much for me. That pre 98 bubba is a perefect one-two hit weed. That taste is amazing for sure.

Had a c99 from PeakseedsBC that tasted like over-ripe strawberries after cure. Only one though but the search is a hoot with this one! For me to pick out a specific taste is difficult so this had to be intense.

Most times I open a jar or bag and am overwhelmed by a strange and intense darkness. It brings a feeling of dejevu but try as I might, ican't put a name to the smell. Maybe sacred musky dankness!
I use to carry a tupper ware container with some c99 buds in it and would just crack it open real quick and close it fast in my buddys car and he would freek out that his wife would smell it if she drove the car and he would get in trouble. It was funny because it was about 2 sec after I cracked the container open He would wale out "OH MAN!" Lol

So the chop went well. 2 timewreck, 1 bog lsd and 1 strawberry amnesia. Let the cure begin. Got to order some new beans. C99 is one of the best tasting.

Dinafem Blue Widow.

Best smelling, tasting and looking plants I've grown. Very easy to grow. Only downsides are low yield and mediocre potency, but I would grow it again just for the ornamental value and the flavor.
