Is the oil lamp vegging light cycle any good?

12hr on 5.5hr off 1hr on 5.5hr off the extra hour on keeps it from flowering and the plants are supposed to benefit from the added rest. and it saved money on power and keeps heat down
That's a new one I've heard
If you have small light leaks in flower that can help promote hermis and I am willing to bet that is what will happen here you are making hermies in veg.
On average it takes 2 hours for your plant to go to sleep. Its called the emerson effect that will allow you to have a 14 hour lights on and 10 off in flowering.YOu also have to use far red bulbs.

In veg stick to 18 on-6 off or 20 on-4 off

@RM3. Uses it.
I just saw him talking about it the other day.
I don't know anything about it.

It seems odd to me but imagine the first time a caveman saw fire.....

All I can say is that I run 24 hour straight and my plants grew fast and fine.

Greetings! What is the benefit you see from this method @RM3 ? I'm curious.

Pretty sure my digitals don't have that time pattern pre programmed.

Whoa. Hold on. Reduce finish time??

I guess I'll have to research that shit now. It never ends.....

@RM3. So you're saying 24 solid wouldnt be the speediest veg method?

Do you want to elaborate at all about speedier finish times? Its cool if not. I'm still gonna have to read up.

It basically eliminates the 2 to 3 week stretch period, plants start flowering once flipped and because of this they finish a week or so faster, IOW I've had strains that took 9 weeks after the flip finish in 7 after switching to the Gas Lantern Routine < what to search for 8)

Yeah I've tried this with a side by side that's what I recommend for the rest of you. When there's a method that cuts costs and decreases flowering times it will be front page news.

Are you saying it didn't work so well for you?

I've been doin it for years lol works every time for me and I know a lot of other growers that do it with same results

Which how to should I follow RM3 do you have a go to page on how to do it right? I will side by side it again my next grow is going to be a room full of Triangle Kush (a stretchy bitch) and I am just making clones now so the timing is perfect. Any problem with using 6500K fluoros only?
