Most beneficial lighting for a 4x4?

I'd go the 1kw. In my 4x4 I'm currently running one 1kw and a 400w hps stacked vert.

I'll probably swap it out for two 600's to even it more out.

600w (mh) veg, 1000w (hps) flower?

You don't need to go to a 1kw. A 600w is still kick arse and its easier to control heat. In summer I find a 1kw can be hot to run, but in winter I can run 1.4kw in a 4x4 vert
