My plants seem a bit small for week 4 veg

So i just stated week 4 veg and it seems like my plants are not as tall as they should be. All 9 of my plants are Caramelo Sativa strain, they are grown in a coco loco coconut core soil mixture. I'm using fox farm top 3 growing nutrients with a light cycle of 18 hours on 6 hours off. Im using a Apollo dimmable light ballast, right now it is set at 600w. The temp of my grow temp goes from 79-81 degrees with a humidity at 41-44%. now the tallest plant in the room is 13" and the smallest is 8", now i feel like that might be a bit too small for week 4. this is my first grow so im not sure how tall they should be at this time, I now that they should double in size during flower. Basically my question is are the sizes of the plants normal for this time in my plants growth?IMG_0279.JPG

What @loftygoals said you might want to go ahead and flip those. Those plants are doing great for four weeks of veg. You'll get a pretty nice harvest if everything goes to plan.

Those are some nice dense, non stretched plants. I agree with the above about flipping already. It doesn't matter they are only starting the 4th week, it's more of a space issue than a time issue. About 1-2 weeks into 12/12 you're going to be looking at a mini jungle in there. My plants all doubled in size the first week of 12/12 and I wished I had flipped sooner.

You thinking i should switch a week early it just started week 4 yesterday?

i already switched the timer to 12/12 so i guess we will see what happens. right now there is still a MH light in there at 1000w, i read that you should keep the MH light in there for the first week of flower then switch to HPS. Toughts?

I'm using LED and CFL so i'm probably not the best to answer that. However, for the first 1-2 weeks your plant is going to be building up flowering hormones and continuing to grow. Using the veg MH light for the first week should be fine as it's not actually flowering at that point.

Yeah i think once i get another week in ill change over to the HPS light, but like you said in the first week of flowering my plants should double in size so i think the MH would help out with that more then the HPS would.

Sounds like a plan. Be sure to update this a week and two weeks after the flip. I'm curious to see how they grow in that span.

They look great for 4 weeks. As @987anon said it's space that's going to be the issue if you kept them vegging any longer. They're already going to be crazy crouded in that space.

My thoughts are keep the MH for the next week if you want but on a 12/12 schedule. Keep your veg nutes going for the next 10-14 days or until you see pistils starting.

Would be great if you'd post an update in 2 weeks so people can see how much they stretched :)

Edit: Here's my current grow 1 week into flower and then again 2 weeks later (6 indicas in a 8x4 space under 1200w LEDs) to give you an idea of why I suggested you flip:

PurpleDankPower, not sure what everyone's opinion is on a 36 hour reset when changing to flower but I have seen some quick transitions when changing over doing a reset.

That is about the right size, shit I wish mine were that big at week 4 last grow. My temps were impossible to control in my situation so it led to stunted growth. From the high 90s, to the low 50s. I could not imagine running the same setup in the summer, it would probably be like 150 degrees in that mf..... The person didnt even know I grew in their home wtf lol! Now that's odor control, I wont do that again.

Think if you were transplant to 18 gallon pots. (People are going to shoot me for this!) Defoliate a LOT and give them 6-7 more weeks of veg, you will have at the very least 10 zips per plant
