Mark any ETA on the restocking of the kits?
yes just waiting on more led drivers and heatsinks, should start shipping again next week, will have another 1000 heatsinks and driversMark any ETA on the restocking of the kits?
well what do ya know. Mark and I were just talking about those yesterday!! nice choice.Huh weird. I was looking at solderless triple 660nm photo red XP-E x5 and LDD-700 to run them. I also need a small power supply, but the Meanwell RS-150-48 seems a bit overkill for my needs... you got anything smaller like RS-50-48? cheers
have not set up a discount code yet on mono's but will do. I do have LRS-75-36 in stock?Huh weird. I was looking at solderless triple 660nm photo red XP-E x5 and LDD-700 to run them. My bad I assumed that code was for everything. Thanks man.have not set up a discount code yet on mono's but will do. I do have LRS-75-36 in stock?

can you advise a bit more detail on what you n=mean by vertical, do you have a drawing of the concept?I apologize in advance for not reading the entire thread. Is there a vertical fixture in this arena?
Hey Growmau5,well what do ya know. Mark and I were just talking about those yesterday!! nice choice.
What is all this tech info?Led watts * efficiency = par watts, par watts * QER = PPF, PPF/sq meters = ppfd of a specific space.
Assuming 50w per.
400w * 56% = 224, 224 * 4.65(3500k 80cri) = 1041, 1041 / 1.12 (12/10.7(sq ft to sq meters)) = ppfd of 929 for a 4'x3'
Hey Growmau5,
I've read thru your thread and a fair bit of this one and many others on the LED sub section.
I'd say you know i have read thru your stuff cause I liked almost every post of yours.
Thanks for all your videos/tutorials on DIY.
I'm not one to ask questions without doing some research first.
But the LED section is such a jungle of information ( some counter-productive dick measuring contests ) .
I have spent many many hours reading but to be honest, technically i stil do not understand allot about the lights and the "efficiency" or what @ this or @ that means , lol.
I can grow excellent looking/tasting green with HID, was hoping to learn about LED and try to see if they can compete.
But the LED people are not the friendliest bunch.
Lol
To each other I mean.
I've had no issues.
Can you please try and break it down in simple terms for a "non LED" grower?
All the technical information is what I'm referring about.
Thanks Growmau5!
I'm sure your effort has converted many non LED growers over!
What is all this tech info?:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock: Indefinately " Let there be Green in 2016 "[/QUOTE said:Watch grow mau5' YouTube Videos. He has a 6 part series on everything you are wondering about.
I've learned a ton from his vids he breaks it down so it's easy for beginners to understand. He's a huge part of the reason I got into diyThanks allot
Should have a sticky with his videos.
With a Note " Watch this First"!
Part One
I had watched a few of his videos of the DIY, had not noticed the rest.
Will watch now!
Thanks
I juststarted a journal with my cutter kits and my T5 grows if you'd like to check it outI started with CFL then upgraded to 600w aircooled MH/HPS ... then last grow upgraded by supplementing my 600HID with Optics cxb3070 350w 4000k. Many reasons why I didnt completely ditch the HID including what indefinitely said (too much counter-productive dick measuring contests) snd not just from the LED folks but also from the HID folks. Figured id get the best of both worlds ... Anyhow ... its more than likely that my next move will be a DYIkit ordered from cutter ... i just need to watch those videos you guys recommended and educate myself on the basics .... happy growin yall .. wait ... happy DYIing too

Us Aussies measure everything in the metric system.@Indefinately thanks so much for the kind words and the support. I enjoy dick measuring as much as the next guy, but I prefer to use the metric system because 5cm just sounds bigger than 1.97 inches.
someone typed this out , but I forget who or where. but it might provide some clarification on what the numbers mean. (see attached)
Bingo. 20 cobs is perfectUs Aussies measure everything in the metric system.
Kills my life having to convert foot/inches into cm/metres all the time.
I have gotten pretty good at working out ounces and pounds though.......
Don't get involved in the cock measuring contests.
I think it ls the size/quality of your Bud that means more than how technical/scientific you can explain light and what not.
I always want to be educated , but don't need to be a rocket scientist to grow top quality Green.
Will be asking cutter to build me a COB set up in a few weeks time.
What would you suggest for a 2m x 1m table?
20 lights I'm estimating?
Will compare side by side to HPS for my self and be able to decide for my self if they are as good as everyone here raves on about.
Love all your videos, have spent hours and hours reading your threads and watching your channel.
Appreciate all your work, thanks again!
