hello guys, this is my first time growing in a tent. i usually just grow outdoors or in my basement with no carbon filters or inline fans...So since this is my first time setting up a tent, how big of a carbon filter do I need? How should I place the inline fans? What other things do I need?

I can show you what I did in my 3x3 tent.
The air comes in through the screened vents(2) at the bottom of the tent.
Goes into the carbon filter, through the light(to cool it), then through the inline fan, out.
I have a speed controller on the fan set at about 1/2(full is too much for a 3x3) All the stuff is 8 inch size.
It works, but I can smell a little bit as the plants inside are particularly smelly(skunk, haze).

The top of the tent.

How big does the carbon filter need to be for a 5x5 tent?

So, the exhaust fan gets connected with duct to the light? and the carbon filter gets connected to the inline fan?

We're talking cubic feet, you said it was a short tent. How short?
My tent is about 55 cf (3x3x6), the fan moves about 300 cfm of air.
The smell is controllable with an 8 inch 12 by 9 carbon filter.
