How much does weed smell?

So I'm getting some for the first time this week and my parents are the strictest parents possible. Does weed smell before it is smoked? How do I hide the smell? I don't take public transport so my dad's picking me up so will he be able to smell the weed in my bag? I'm only purchasing 1 gram
 
It depends what you get. I carried 10g of white widow around in my makeup bag in the bottom of my work bag for weeks and never got a whiff of it. I had 1/2g of cheese in the same place while at my dad's the other week and, as I was routing through my bag looking for something, not really even near the weed, my dad smelled it and knew exactly what it was. Get it wrapped up in the bottom of your bag and you should be ok. Maybe wear lots of aftershave or something so your dad has to take very shallow breaths! Enjoy :peace:

What if I put it in a plastic container? Like one of those really small tupperware ones

That'd probably work. Maybe Febreze your bag or something too, so there's plenty of other smells going on to disguise any stray odours? I think you'll be alright mate.

Empty OTC pill bottle with a screw on cap. Dont touch the bud and get it on the outside of the bottle. Small one like the advil ones or the aleve bottles they are small and easy to conceal and are seen everyday.

It can stink, air tight bags are the way forward. Double it up!! Any airtight container, pop bottles are ok if dry, they are designed to not let any gas through where as some plastic is gas permeable.
When I worked in the alps I had weed in small plastic bottles then inside a thermos flask. Soon as I opened it the whole room stunk.
I used to have to roll one and walk 1mile up a snow track to keep away from folks. When I walked back I had a few comments about the corridor smelling of weed, this is 30mins after smoking a joint in wind. I think the altitude and below freezing temps made it stick to my cloths more and the smell last. I have never noticed this anywhere else in the world.
