Need advice on indoor grow

Ok, ive watched a few videos on you tube and saw great results. Ive learned a little bit more. What i first did was put a few seeds in a wet paper clother and i let them stay there for 2 days, they were about to crack. and i wanted to plant them asap(badmistake) and i put it under a n:vision soft white 14watt but it says it = to 60 watt. 900 lumens. Is it a cfl? b/c im not sure. i went to the website and all they sell is cfls. Im pretty sure it is. now i put about 5 seeds in a cup, if i keep it upder the light do you think they will come up?
while im trying to grow, i started over, just incase the current seeds dont work. I put them in a tupper ware covered in a wet paper towel. and ill wait 2-4 days till they crack, then put them each in a sep. cup with regular soil(like the first set of seeds) and let them come up. Now i saw a master of weed growing on youtube, he cracked them then let them sit in a room in the dark and waited till they came up before he put them under the light. I dont plan on grwoing a huge plant. I just want somthing about 6-12 inches to start to bud. Now if thus wont work, please tell me, but if it will. I will water once aday? and put them in 18 hours of the light, and when they get to the size i want i put them in 12 hours of light and they will bud?

and let me add, im using seeds that ive gotten out of a bag i liked, some1 called them mids....there alright to grow right?

"if i keep it upder the light do you think they will come up? " - its ok to use light when you plant the seeds but they don;t need it until they come out of the ground.

"I will water once aday?" - sprinlkle a small amount of water daily until they sprout. then water thouroughly until water comes out of the bottom holes of your pot. then wait until the soil is dry down a couple of inches. then rewater - it'll be about every three days

also read up on nutrients so you'll know when to feed them
