I would really use some expert advise regarding those two dry nutrients line for ONLY VEG!

Which one would you choose and why?

Cultivation will be in coco.

*Compound number 1 NPK 10-5-14

Total Nitrogen (N)10.0%
1.5% Ammoniacal Nitrogen (N) 8.5% Nitrate Nitrogen (N)

Available Phosphate (P2O5)..5.0%

Soluble Potash (K2O)......14.0%

Calcium (Ca)....................................................................6.0%

Magnesium (Mg)............................................................2.0% 2.0% Water Soluble Magnesium (Mg)

Sulfur (S)..........................................................................3.0% 3.0% Combined Sulfur (S)Iron (Fe).........................................................................0.12% 0.12% Chelated Iron (Fe)Manganese (Mn)....................................................0.05% 0.05% Chelated Manganese (Mn)Derived from: Ammonium Molybdate, Ammonium Nitrate, Calcium Nitrate, Calcium Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Iron DTPA, Magnesium Sulfate, Manganese EDTA, Potassium Borate, Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Phosphate and Zinc Sulfate.

**Compound number 2 NPK 24-6-12

24% N Total Nitrogen
13% NS Nitrogen Nitrate11% NA Nitrogen Ammoniacal6% P2O5 Nitrogen

Phosphorus 6% K2O Soluble

Potassium 12%

Soluble Magnesium (=1.2% Mg)0.02%

B Soluble Boron0.04%

Cu Soluble Copper (as Chelate form EDTA)0.1%

Fe Soluble Iron (as Chelate form EDTA)0.05%

Mn Soluble Manganese (as Chelate from EDTA)0.01%

Mo Soluble Molybdenum0.01% Zn Soluble Zinc (as Chelate from EDTA)

Thanks in advance.

The first one is better suited to coco but appears to be a non-coco specific hydro formulation as it doesn't quite have enough Ca still. Coco reacts with the Ca and makes it unavailable for the plants which means you need significantly more in your nutes to stop you getting a deficiency.

For reference these are all veg nutes:
Canna's coco nutes have 113ppm N and 113ppm Ca
Canna's hydro veg nutes have 183ppm N and 60ppm Ca
Canna's soil veg nutes have 130ppm N and no Ca.

The nutes you're asking about have:
10% N and 6% Ca (more like plain hydro nutes)
24% N and no Ca (like soil nutes)

Hallo, Thanks for your replay.

Aint 6% ca is enough? I use plagron coco nutes at the moment and its 4.5% cal and I never get cal def always mag!

Now I supply each gallon with 0.5gram epsom slats..

Water start ppm is 180ppm I raise it with epsom to 220/230.

Works for me.

If you're ok with 4.5% + your tap water then the first nutes should be fine for you :)
