When speaking with someone at a store or shop about equipment, soil, etc etc. What is a good plant to say you are growing that is comparable to marijuana. So that you are still getting the info you want.

I would look here first before buying anything to appear like you know what you're looking for. I look at hydro shop's like used car dealerships. The people that own them or work there may be nice people and possibly very knowledgeable, but their job is to sell you as much shit as they can.
To answer your question lol maybe tomatoes, i don't know how many people grow them indoors. I don't think most people really care. To be honest they'll probably be rolling their eyes while you're telling them about growing tomatoes.

carolina reapers, trinidad scorpions, and ghost peppers. novelty and spiciest peppers in the world. ppl grow these indoors all the time for the control factor. you can have this predictable environment to hone in on making them even spicier. increase heat when fruiting, bring them close af to the light, etc.

or say you're going to be breeding plants and selling them on ebay. ask the hydo dealer if he has any recommendations of pricey plants. it'll give you insight as to what this guy knows and what kind of plants he's concerned himself with.

I say tomatoes but consider this. I asked my hydro guy the % of legit customers he gets in his store, 5%? He said 5% was very generous. Ive personally visited appr 7 of the many stores in the GTA. That's a pretty large community.

my neighbor actually does grow tomatoes in her garage. because of our unusual weather indoor gardening is popular up here. I have an MMJ card and am allowed to grow up to 12 plants. I grow peppers and cannabis together indoors. peppers, tomatoes and cannabis have similar light needs
