fail..that's been proven myth.
It can be a gateway drug, just not in the way people think.

Its not the use of pot that makes you want to use other drugs, its the prohibition.

If people are buying weed from people that sell other drugs because pot is illegal, people are exposed to those other drugs more increasing their chance of trying them.

What is wrong with wanting to use other drugs? Why is that bad?

that's their thought process but in all my scores no one's ever said 'hey, i'm outta herb but i have heroin would you rather have that instead?'

it seems to me most involved with weed aren't involved with harder stuff..same goes for mushrooms..it's a different target market.

Not what I said.

I could care less what drug a person uses.

I say stop the war on all drugs. Who cares if people die? We would be better for it and it would level off.

Not saying it happens a lot.

Just saying the more you're exposed to something, the more likely you are to use it.

You and I agree. Treat drug addiction as a medical issue. Prescription overdoses are one of the highest causes of death in older people. There needs to be education, not incarceration.

I wish the justice system would go that way. No need to lock addicts up. They need treatment.

That is another discussion though. There is a thread on it about for profit prisons which should be out lawed.

That's bullshit to. You can grow poppies but not lance or consume them. It should be legal to make poppy tea or opium. You can't grow enough poppies to develope a problem.

These damn pharm companies take poppy plants and make pain pills that are thousands of times more potent.

Yes and we should be able to buy them over the counter like aspirin...

And grow as many poppies as you want...

I agree.

I thought that about suboxone. It is an opiate but not as bad as other ones. It requires a special license to write it. It makes it harder to get.

At the least I thought it should be legal to buy them. At least one a day.

Did you see the documentary, I forget where, this country started medically supervised heroin clinics? A person can go get a shot a day. It is pharm grade.

It costs them $3000 a year to dose someone vs $30,000 a year to house them in prison.

So if we legalize all drugs, make prostitution legal, legalize basically anything else that does not harm another person or property there is no more reason for the cops to kick in doors.

Simply demanding that the government let us do what we want with our minds and bodies and leave us alone.

Now, if you get drunk and get in a car an kill someone you are going to be tried for manslaughter and spend prison time. That is personal responsibility.

But we need to change the laws, not kill more cops. If people understood this they could put pressure on their legislators to repeal this stuff but the government has us fighting over race, economic class and the reduction of guns...

I can agree with that mostly.

Its a shame those cops died and they didn't deserve it. We have a problem here with police and its not changing.

It is sad but what are people to do? The corruption is so bad I don't think peaceful protest and voting are going to work.

I just explained that it isnt the cops that present the majority of the problem. WE should focus our attention on our government and get the laws changed so cops dont have to kick in doors.

I agree. The thing is though, how do we change the government? I don't think voting is going to work. Too much money and corruption.

Pretty shit sammich and kind of a little football bat.
Suggestions?
