@robincnn thanks for the response and the number crunching in advance.
@Airwalker16. thank you. so the 320-2100b eh? haven't checked the data sheet or specs yet to see how many it'll drive and do I need to do anything with the leftover fv or watts. Kinda medicated so I'm not even sure if i phrased that correctly.
What is all the rave about with the 1050 ma?

You can probably get started with that. For instance, the CXB3590 @ 1400mA would be 2.62 umol/J * 48.85W * 4 cobs = 512 PPF / 1.486 meters squared is 344 PPFD from each fixture over your space.

So figure out your efficiency target, crunch some numbers, and figure out how many cobs you need to hit your PPFD goal.

BTW, following @Airwalker16 's advice is a good way to spend extra money on heat sinks and oversized power supplies for the privlege of losing a few percent of efficiency from your too-large driver. It's definitely not something you should "always" do, no offense intended airwalker.

Dear Robin, I am glad to see you back posting here and starting a presence on Instagram. I am sure you have been extremely busy taking NGL to the next level, and it appears you have achieved that with these new offerings.

Just place my first NGL order. !!! I did not see the Bender & wirth holders up quite yet. But I need 3 of them if you could sell me those and include in the shipping box with the heatsinks.

PS. I know you will be busy shipping out all this new inventory, so just be sure to ship mine out before all these other nerds, lololol
Shipped. Sorry I forgot to draw hearts on the plastic bag with screws. There was too much extra space on top and I ran out of bubble wrap. I dumped my workshop trash bag on the top so you may find some nerds candies.
Added the 3x Bender & wirth too. 120mm heatsink is pre drilled for these holders. But only 140mm is compatible with the Khatod. Good luck with you project.

@CoB_nUt .It is friday so don't quote me on my numbers
1) How much ppf/d do I have running 4xcxb 3070 @1400ma and 4xcxb3590's @ the same ma's? (4x4 tent)
310ppfd from the 4xcxb 3070 and 330ppfd from 4xcxb3590's. So total 640 ppfd average in 4x4
2) I plan on adding 4 more cxb 3590's @1400 ma. what would my ppf/d #'s be? (same 4x4 tent)
640 +330= 970ppfd
3) when I do add the othe 4 cxb's ,I plan on replacing the 3070 bar with and making a 5 light bar similiar to the one ine Growmau5's latest cutter kit build with the five chips.
So, two 4x3590 bars at 1400 ma and one H- style light with 5 3070's in the middle....... Should i drive the 3070's on a 250 watt 1400 ma driver or 1050? Is 1050 ma the new "golden" amperage? I am seeing a lot of reference to it.
I think 3 bars would be better than 2 bars and and odd 5 COB H in the middle. The 3 bars with 4 cobs each should be close to 1000ppfd. You really don't need the 5th cob. However if the DIY in you is getting bored sure go ahead and add the 5th one. No "golden" amperage, it is all personal preference, budget, ambient temps, height. I like to run cobs 50-80 watts and have a lens/reflector, others prefer care cob at 35-50 watts.
4) I have two 1400 ma meanwells pushing the two bars now. Any suggestions on how I should drive the 5 3070's? Any suggestions good or not so good are appreciated

@robincnn, YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Thank you for the numbers crunch & breakdown. 3 bars instead if the 2 bars and the H light? cool, I can used the fifth 3070 as a veg light and hack one of my small blurple veg lights in thE process. Now to just get 5 more heatsinks 1 for 3070 and 4 for 3590. 1 more 1400 ma meanwell. I'm going to have hurry up and read up on those optics and new holders I'm ready to order asap. I was going to order from GG since my first purchase was from you, second was from cutter I kno I kno Gmau5 isn't "In" with cutter, but he referred them so.....I'd like to think i'm showing my appreciation to the 3 guys that were in my ear teaching me this stuff in the tech talk videos and youtube vids' You, Growmau5,&GG) Just hard catching GG in stock of the materials I need at that point in time. Again, robincnn, thank you for your time, effort, reasearch, customer service and for just being so cool about our whole initial interaction. Being that I came off rather abrasive and illogical.

@JorgeGonzales, thank you for the spreadsheet and the info.I've read a lot of your posts in the diy/cob section and respect what you have to say. I was trying to be in the 900-1000 ppfd range. I'd like to think the 1400ma drivers are a nice fit for the 4 cob setup.
@Airwalker16 Appreciate the response and knowledge, those bigger drivers are nice but I don't have a need for them at this time.

Except I wrote "from each cob" after doing math for four. I'm literally the worst. Anyway, that's why it's better to teach a man to fish. They fuck up less than me.

@robincnn will you ever have those square sinks again like you sent me? I'm going to build a 4 unit light with Vitalys mono PCBS to pit in the center of my diy light and those would work perfectly!

I couldnt agree more. I am either not a good enough grower, not attentive enough, or my strains are not responding well to 1000-1150 ppfd in my latest grow. I am tucking tail and dropping (dimming) back to 700-800 ppfd until I can get some C. O. duece.
I'm running 1500ppm of it. Looks like a veg zone lighting upgrade is in order for me, that might help your case as well.

yeah high ppf brings out the problems if everything isnt PERFECT

my 4x315CMH in a 5x5 did not go as expected at all, and thats with controlled 1200-1500 ppm co2. in this case cold temps+too much light messed me up i think, stress city
