Most Simplest Yet Very Effective DIY 35 Site Aeoroponics Cloner

Tools Required:
- Hand Drill
- 2 Inch Hole Saw

Supplies Required:
- HDX 27 Gallon Storage Tote
- 35 2 Inch Net Pots
- 35 2 Inch Neoprene Inserts
- 300-500g/h Submersible Fountain Pump
- Mechanical Timer 30 Minutes On/Off
- 2 360 Degree Plastic Shrub Sprinklers
- One 1/2 Inch SxSxFPT PVC Tee
- One 1/2 x 2 Inch PVC Riser
- Two 6 Inch Pieces of 1/2 Inch PVC Pipe
- Two 1/2 Inch 90 Degree MPTxS PVC Elbow

post pics of the roots it is capable of producing. this looks pretty simple and interesting. I like it! just want to see some results. Good build tho.

You can find everything you need at Home Depot and/or Lowes, up above I posted the same exact sprinkler heads I used in the build. If you got any questions or need any help along the way just go ahead and ask me, and I'd be more than happy to help u out, although I'm fairly confident you'll find this build extremely easy.

Excellent design! For Canadians wanting to do something similar, the same bin is sold at Lowes under the Centrex brand. They also have a 12 gallon with removable lid and a 17 gallon with a hinged lid; for $13.99, $8.99 and $15.99 respectively.

They also have a Rain Bird shrub sprayer nozzle for $3.98 designed to spray from 4' to 30'.

I've found several hydroponics stores online, in Canada (specifically the GTA) that have reasonably priced sub. pumps.
 
I've got as far as buying a couple of pumps, sprinkler heads, tubing and a 3" hole saw. This thread reminded me I need to get back on that project. I'm going to start with a 5 gallon bucket. It just takes one 360 degree sprinkler head. If it works good, and I have need for more space, I'll make one with the bins.

I have heard 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off works best.

I just finished a 35 site cloner made out of a Rubbermaid Roughneck 18 gallon tote and a 396 gpm submersible pump and a bunch of cheap-o mister nozzles. It's running right now. Here's the post:

Thanks. Mine will have to be out of doors, so an old beat up five gallon bucket is what I'm looking at. I have electricity at an old shed in a remote part of the farm, and I'm going to put it in the tall weeds nearby. I've put it all together to test it. I just haven't cut the holes in the lid of the bucket yet.

Will the 2 sprayers cover the entire tote leaving no dead dry spots? Looking at making one of these, everything can be had at lowes?

As long as you keep it nice and clean, and you don't let your sprinkler heads get clogged, you can rest assured that every square inch of the inside of that tote will remain absolutely drenched. Also, yeah you can find everything in between Lowe's and Home Depot, that's where I acquired all of the supplies and materials required.

I got the 5 gallon bucket rooter put together and rooted a few tomatoes. This is after about a week.
