What Justifies a High price point for these Genetic Seed banks in the States

They charge too much (greedy) and have the same sheet over and over. They make the strangest crosses with sheet I never heard of too at some of these places. Have to order out for the food you want. So it takes you forever to make a line of gear. I have to personally pay for your R&D? Charge less, Move volume, get your name out and get money. Not gouge the few customers you have.

I honestly think this will happen with MJ once it's 100% legal everywhere
Agreed, why is this plant worth so much more than another plant? It's not a particularly difficult plant to breed with, there are plants that take several YEARS to breed with and seeds from them are a few dollars for a few hundred, something has to give.

How do you know bro?
i've brokered a deal between a breeder and a bank in the past and was privy to the details of what both of these get.. it was very well known, except to me at the time, that they split the profits 50/50...
i've even quoted these numbers in the passed and when mrs rare dankness was still around these parts, she confirmed my numbers, and said in reality, that the breeders take is actually much less than the 50% of the take after packaging costs, shipping, etc.. so yeah, i'm not pulling these numbers out of my ass, the split is 50/50. that's the way it works in the bean / bank game..
you might think 50% of the total is a shit ton, but look at the number of beans a bank is going to sell vs a small breeder who sets up their own page and peddles their own gear.. plus, having a bank selling what is still pretty much an illegal product across international borders takes a huge part of the risk out for the breeders.. now, the biggest thing breeders have to worry about is sending their gear to the bank, and hoping it makes it to them.. this is a big reason why most us banks don't carry european based breeders gear, and instead we're seeing a lof smaller, us based breeders gear in their place..
but yeah, i'm just making all of this shit up..

I dont know anything about it ....but i do wholesale stuff and it usually hits the mkt with a 100% markup so it's about the same as 50/50

I personally know breeders that sell to seedbanks on this very forum. 50/50 split is a dream , maybe years ago or for that specific seedbank but they all work different.

Unless they can guarantee 30% thc or a pound per plant, Why do people pay these crazy prices.

Are the breeders regulated, follow state laws as far as prerequisites. Do they pay taxes?

Are they breeding in there Moms basement? there garage? What gives?

Please post only knowledgeable and logic responses. It's an Inquiry not a beef or a rant.
Because they can simply put. we as customers have choice too.

Green house sells seeds for about 50
Franchise Genetics $200 average

If I could even charge $100 a seed and people that have the money are will to pay it why not.

Why should I care about your pockets, you have choice.

Is it wrong for a seed maker to have dreams of being a millionare?

You possed a question about regulations, soo what type of regulations, why do you want to impose something There just making seeds man.

why does it bother you that there expensive. I can't affoard a lambo and just keep it pushing and moving.

Back to seeds now! Breeders should be able to charge $100 a seed or $1.

@Biggchong

Also 1 seed can produce a plant that can grow a qp / half pound/ or pound

hmm that one seed that could cost $100 just made $800
7x...

There's no unwritten rules of how much split people make, it's at the seedbanks discretion, they don't even have to accept you to vendor for it's all on their terms if you don't like it you find a different seedbank why do you think the seedbanks and breeders are always beefing? Its cause the seedbanks are ripping them off all the time. There just was a beef between NGR and topdawg, they even dropped their line for a while until the beef was squashed.

well maybe things have changed in the last year or so with the advent of american based seed banks, but as i said, i know when the euro and uk based banks were the only options, the split was 50.50..

Yeah i'm talking about American seedbanks , I don't know squat about UK seedbanks, i'd imagine they would have a lot more to offer since it's not illegal to sell souvenirs over there.
