Tiny Buds?

Hey everyone,

I'm about 6 weeks into flowering but I am starting to get worried because my buds are still very very small. Sorry for the horrible pictures, my lights went off an hour and I only wanted to flash a few pics, I can upload some better ones tomorrow.

I'm growing my indica strain in a 3 gallon smart pot. It's about 2 1/2'. I'm using a mix spectrum CFL's, about 9k lumens total. I keep the lights as close to the leaves as I can, with in 4'' of the plant. No major nute deficiencies in flowering. Temp. runs a little hot up can get to 90 some days.

About 1/4 pistils are have turned red. Not sure what the tricromes are at because I don't have any way to look at them up close.

Are they going to get any bigger? What have I done wrong, and is there anything I can do do get them bigger quickly?

Check out some defolation threads you have very little light penetration maybe remove some leaves and tuck what ever you can to expose bud sites tie down some branches to get the light even closer but other than that cfls are decent for veg but sucks for flower check out ebay or Amazon they have 1000 watt dimmable ballast about 70 bucks they go 400/600/1000 hands down best bang for your buck. I know you didn't ask about this but your plants look to be loaded with nitrogen. To much nitrogen will make those buds airy and it will lose potency mate. This is from my experience. Ya can smoke a whole joint maybe even 2 and not feel a thing. This exact same thing happened to me. Not saying it will happen to you though just trying to put my experience out there ya know?

Yeah man. I was just looking at pics of nitro toxicity. If those pics are close to the true color then they are super dark green. ...

I had a slew of problems and cut her down way too early but hey it's a learning curve. I learned a lot with my first five plants. 6 and 7 are nearing harvest.
