A free market is not an oxymoron, it means the actors within a given market have the freedom of consensual exchange unimpeded by an outside intervener or central authority, like that Jill Stein person etc.

It doesn't mean you get other peoples shit for free, but I thought you already knew that.

If having oil correlated with having a great economy, there would be a few other rich countries, but you're leaving out the part where they must also have America as a happy customer. Oil is a fungible asset. Norway became a socialist utopia because they managed their oil wealth wisely. Venezuela is a cartoon version of every wrong decision that a country could make.

American technology shifted the supply curve on oil using fracking. The world is a better, richer place because of that.

Cuba is free to sell their goods to all those rich communist countries. That speaks volumes, both about Cuba and about "rich communist countries".

"Free market" is in fact an oxymoron. Not only does privatization require gov't in order to enforce property laws and grant property rights, but those who live under such an economy can not be free. In such an economy, all of the basic necessities for life become commodities creating a goad for people to sell their labor to someone who owns (government granted property rights) in order to purchase said commodities which they themselves created with their labor.

In short, "free-market" is wage slavery.

Venezuela was making a good income off the oil before they killed the golden goose. Now the oil is in the ground and the people starve in a gun controlled hellhole. Socialism at it's finest!!

Cubans live longer and have higher literacy rates than Americans. There are fewer homeless Cubans, better medical system and far less malnutrition. This is despite crippling economic sanctions imposed by Merica.

Venezuela is being crushed right now. You believe American propaganda and have never been exposed to anything else.

The only thing you said here that was true was about fracking, which ignores the fact that it is so environmental damaging, also, thanks Obama.

Nice word salad. Venezuela is being crushed by economic imperialism and yet, no the people are not starving. Your talking points are pretty stupid and I'm handily beating three of you at once in debate. Venezuela is still for the most part quite privatized as well, due to America funding political opposition, creating vast strife in the streets.

I think this is the part where I ask you what property is and who can own it and then you run away and cry.

So you're saying that without a central government authority , nobody would own anything that they fashioned from natural resources ? Interesting.
So people don't own the crops which they propagate in an agriculture society whether there is a central authority or not ?


A free market is simply consensual exchange, between unimpeded and willing participants. A free market wouldn't preclude you from being a communist, it would simply mean you can't force your communism on other people.

Also, people DO own themselves. If you say self ownership is invalid, what are you really saying ? You are exercising self control to present an argument that it is impossible to exercise self control over your own body.

I think your claim of victory was premature.
