What size driver are you using with those 8 cobs ? I keep being told I need 32 cobs in a 4x8 grow tent but you have 8 in half of that size and those look great . Do you think that you have enough light or would you want more ? Thanks manDay 57, running 8 3590's COBS
Learned that growing gg#4 along side chaos , is a challenge , pretty happy with results
That really depends on how efficient you want the lights. Running one COB per sq/ft of 3590's at 700 ma to 1050 ma is my preferred setup.

I just want to have an awesome setup for my 4x8 gorilla grow tent. I have looked at the mean well 600h 36a it seems that it would run 12 cxb 3950 at 50 watts or 10 at 60 Would that be good ? I've been reading to death on LEDs . There is too much info out there to even pick . I grabbed a meanwell 320h 1400a. That should run 6 3950cxb cobs at 50 watts or 5 at 60 watts. I learned after buying this that it would be no where near enough for even a 4x4 tent much less a 4x8. I've asked in the led threads it just turns into fighting and stuff I don't understand and don't really want to understand . I just want to buy the right stuff that will blast out my 4x8 to the point that I won't be disappointed that I dismantled my old mh/hps .
I think you will need 3 of those $600 timber kits to make it work (300 watt - 6 cob), and 4 kits to make it work good. That's what I was gonna do in a 4x8... I know the less watts the cobs are driven at equals more efficient. Hoping an expert gives an opinion.
