I know that the waning daylight hours are responsible for the flowering kick, but it's the exact timing that has me curious. I'm glad we're all on the same page as to the time.
I need to move mine (in container) from where it is now to a place that gets a couple hours less sun but isn't in the path of my neighbour's security light.
I want to keep it in the sunnier spot as long as I can without risking the night time light pollution from affecting the plant.
Curious... you north of TO?

Yeah it's strain and season dependant but last week of July or first week of August is about right for most strains to start in southern Ontario. I grew this one last year and it finished last week of September which is perfect.

Your plants are looking good. I sink my pots to ground level when they are in the holding grounds. Helps with camo and water retention.

Hope all your grows are going well. We finally got the first real rain in weeks early Monday morning up this way, girls were glad to get something other than tap water!

Here's my girl this evening.
Definitely seems to be stretching and is gaining almost an inch a day. 44" from soil to tip and a bit wider than she is tall.
Figure there will be 3 primary colas, 4 or 5 secondary ones and a whole bunch of smaller bud sites.
Pretty sure there are more than just preflowers now but I'll have to check in the light tomorrow, so I think the switch has been flipped. Anyone else seeing outward signs of flower?
I had issues with some yellowing interior leaves about a week ago. I went the diluted urine route for a quick dash of nitrogen and it seems to have worked perfectly. I did a lot of reading on it and after sorting through the different opinions on the subject, I found enough reputable evidence to suggest that despite the 'gross' factor, it's an effective N source.
I'm going to continue feeding with a fair amount of N but will add some extra P and K with a fermented fruit bloom fertilizer that I have brewing.
If you're wondering, the colourful bits on the soil are spent marigold blooms. It's an idea I had to repel pests. Who knows.
Otherwise, I'm very happy so far with this experimental single-plant grow. My main challenge at this point is shielding her from night light pollution.

Off-topic, but figured I'd post it here since you guys/gals are local...
When I was trimming my plant a few weeks back, I started some clones just because, well why not. Most of them died because my rooting hormone gel had gone bad, but as an experiment, I used honey to root one of them and it survived and looks great. I had read that honey is a good substitute and sure enough that seems to be true.
Problem is, I have no use for it and its gonna go to waste since I dont grow indoors. If anyone knows of a good home for it, I'd love to give it away.
I don't know exact strain except that it's a kush of some sort. The mother plant is a big beautiful lush bush and is just starting to show definite signs of flower.
Any suggestions?

Veg it for a couple of three weeks{inside with lights}, then set it out in the yard if you can't give it away.

Yes very nice to have some early smoke, which is why I run them. I recommend alien vs triangle from mephisto genetics, harvested close to two oz a plant and just covered in resin. I'd also recommend northern lights auto from royal queen seeds. Fruity slightly citrus smelling rock hard nugs, good smoke.Nice, haven't run any autos but looks killer and nice to get an early crop out while waiting for the photos
