Need GOOD STRAIN FOR PAIN

What strain is best for intense pain? Doctor prescribes me 40mg oxycotin 2 times a day and 15mg Roxie's 3 times a day.

Looking for a strain that will help me wing off pain meds.

I HAD a tumor "removed from inside my spinal cord."

I had to leave a job making $40 per hour due to this intense pain. I need something that triggers the spinal cord pain other than Roxie's and oxycotin.

Since pain pills are extremely expensive and horrible for health. Everyone I know have heart failure after 10 years of intense pill use. I need something that will help me wing off pain pills or wing me down in the everyday dosage.

Weed don't really get rid of pain for me just helps me take my mind off it same as painkillers for me really unless I take enough where I'm nodding off like a bastard.

A heavy indica not these ridiculous hybrids they have these days definitely give you more of the nodding type feeling but I'm talking like NL5 x Afghan type shit. Not the hybrids with Skunk and other Sativa's they call indica dominant. The Afghan is the heavy shit in them crosses.

But Sativa and hybrids do help for pain too especially while working it takes my mind right off it.

Something serious like you are talking edibles are were it's at my mother has MS and she has the best effects from edibles. But she also doesn't really have a preference in the indica sativa bullshit. But one thing that did not help her is the high CBD nor did it help me. It was great bud all around looks, smell, taste but the high CBD doesn't get you as high which in my opinion is what helps the most when it comes to pain.

But one thing for sure is everyone is different but my mother did get off opiates with only cannabis weening down first of course. But I know their are other people here with different routes they take for pain I just have me and my mother's experience and my pain ain't that bad I can deal with it drug free if I wanted to but weed certainly helps.

As someone with intense shoulder/neck pain I would suggest at least one excellent og kush variety, a cookies variety, a chem variety, and maybe something like a blue dreams or apollo for day time use.

A cbd strain would provide nice relief.

I personally would avoid nl, nlxafi, skunks... they just don't get the job done.

Also I want you to know that high dose edibles can be incredibly effective in minimizing the opiate withdrawal effects. I've personally witnessed someone become much more comfortable while going thru the process by using edibles made by me. He stopped sweating, and was able to eat, sleep, and go back to work.

I hope you are in a med state. Good luck.

Strains can be user specific, meaning one can provide relief to one person while having minimal affect on another. That said, in general indica's will tend to be a heavier stone and affect the body more while sativas will affect your head more.

Through various trials on myself and treating other patients for the last couple of years, edibles are the way to go for extreme pain requiring opioids. I make coconut oil caps using dry sift to control dosages better/consistently, some people can handle a lot more than others when it comes to edibles so very important.

To cover off and make more effective pills I keep sift separated by strain and I've found that mixing strains works even better than single strains. Keeping strains separate allows you to mix until you find one you like and expands the range of cannabinoids in your meds, increasing the chances that you'll find relief.

I've been able to get a couple of patients off exactly the ride you're on. Could have worked on others if they had opened their minds to the possibility that MJ pills can replace opioids and even provide better relief, while allowing you to have quality of life.
