is it normal to go 1 week between waterings during this early veg phase? had been 5 days since last watering when I watered yesterday, but the soil was probably too moist still in retrospect. fascinating stuff, fun to learn.

molasses? i'm assuming you don't literally mean molasses
I literally mean molasses. I use blackstrap, like, every other watering. 1Tbsp:1.5L of water. One of the best things you can add to an organic grow during flower.

they are in 5 gallon pots, each watering i'd say I've given them almost 2 liters of water each until it runs out the bottom, then i'll discard extra water. maybe cut down to 1-1.5 liters?

as I started w/ fox farm I haven't added any nutrients yet. so you like the molasses, whats does it add?

Potassium and carbs, plus micronutrients. Increases trichome production like crazy. And, it feeds the microbes in your soil, increasing the colony/herd and activity.

good during the veg phase as well as flower phase?
Yeah, for increasing microbial activity and potassium, especially. It really shines in flower, though, because it increases trichomes with the carb and potassium production. Just make sure you dilute with enough water or you'll get that stringy mold.

I know a little off topic..Invest in some T5's and put her 2" from the bulb.. She's stretching like a yoga slut. You want the shortest internode length possible...you should have topped her when she was 6" tall :)

Using T5's for veg is the best advice I try to give people. Topping and bending also helps promote secondary growth so you don't end up with a Christmas tree. In the end, you are looking for an even canopy with 8-16 colas on top that are perfectly even so you can have them all at the optimal distance from the light.

honestly i'm not positive on the wattage, the light is so bright though the whole room glows orange from the outside at night haha. i set them on a stool so now they are about 7/8 inches from the light, good spot? thanks for all the tips, first time grower obviously

You should see if there are any stickers or imprints with the wattage. This is crucial :O It looks to be 600w from the pictures, but I can't say for sure.
