Nope, you want around 20% moisture content, cured buds have around 5%. Really all your doing is a steam distillation, so less water = less steam chaperoning oil out of the nugget. You aren't supposed to use cured buds?
I sqw somewhwre people put a drop of water on cured bud for this?Nope, you want around 20% moisture content, cured buds have around 5%. Really all your doing is a steam distillation, so less water = less steam chaperoning oil out of the nugget.
It all depends on the flat iron you use. Since you got it coming it now just press harder and lil longer. Try turning it up a lil more so you won't have to press longer. I didn't know about the uncured nugs but the ones I used weren't really cured just dryI was turning off all my fans and shit so I could hear if it was sizzling.
I wanted to get it down so I could press my trim and fluff after harvest.
Plus i bought that silicon tipped dabber but while the first time was easy to gather, the next couple times was a bitch!
Think I might buy a clamp thingy tomorrow.. they're only like what.. 5-6 bucks?
I feel like this is gonna be like trying to become the rosin whisperer.
Yeah that might actually work well, or you could get those boveda pack things if your bud is too dry. I have a lot of cured material that I wind up pressing and those keep the moisture content right around where it needs to be. Nothing beats the 5 day dry though, my yield can be has high as 30% by weight if I hit that window perfectly. Doesn't hurt that I grow absolute fire either.I sqw somewhwre people put a drop of water on cured bud for this?
Reason?skip the clamp, get a table top vice from harbor freight or go arbor press just two cents
I don't know man I'm not 100% sold on the idea. What about all those hairs and lief pieces. All I ever see is microscopic chunks of hash. never a big chunk like this. Guess how many grams.Harbor freight shop press converted to 20 ton air hydraulic jack & low temp plates.

There's no hairs or leaf.....I'm squishing dry sieve kief thru 37micron silk screen bags.... I squished 14gr of kief today & collected 6.2gr of solvent free rosin....45% returnI don't know man I'm not 100% sold on the idea. What about all those hairs and lief pieces.
