Male or Female

No room for that kind of name calling!!! It's good practice to do as much reading as possible when trying to make a call on such things as male and female plants. Lots of info around that will show.

I have been studying for days. I figured it was male. I figured I would ask someone who has grown one before their opinion. I read they all form calyx. Didn't know if this was a calyx to start pre flower or if they are pollen sacs. I have never seen a female in person or the beginnings of a female. I have worked hard on the ones I have and want to make sure I don't throw away a female. Believe me I've been googling.

That's outdoors right? Save it. Take all the pollen in a ziplock and use a paint brush to paint pollen on a female bud for some free seeds. Fresh seeds always pop fast as fuck

Early and first flowers will always be confusing to those that havent the experience, at this point i would not recommend trashing it but waiting till it shows enough of it sex so that you can just compare to google.

Sometimes we just want you to earn your green thumb, not paint it on for you.

Now with that said ive veiwed your picture and almost 100% thats a male, those little ball like structures all clustered together is a dead giveaway, these should easily resemble pics of male plants on google, see the little lines running down the sides of those balls where it will split open and turn into many smaller pollen sacs.

Here is a picture that shows your ball like structures and what they will look like as a flower, you can clearly see the lines down the side where they split open...

If your going to save the pollen, remember to save it in an air tight container an put some raw rice in there to absorb moisture before storing. I collected some pollen last month on some tin foil, and am going to pollinate a few plants with it. Looking forward to harvesting some seeds from a few plants that have some great characteristics.
