Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.....(Jack Herer X AK 47)

Next up for me is this hybrid, but the Fast Version which finishes up around a week quicker than the regular feminized Jack 47. I was a tester for Sweet Seeds "Green Poison" FV, which was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't as good as the normal Green Poison (which by the way, has recently declined in potency and not worth a redo anymore).

I have hesitated growing this out previously, as numerous grow reports said it took them to 10+ weeks which is too long for me. The fast version reduces that timing a week or so, which helps a bit. Seedfinder gives it a VERY high rating of 9.67/10 which attracted my attention. It's leans more to the sativa side 75/25 as it has haze,Colombian, Mexican and Thai deep in it's genetics. It's also a VERY high yielder, if worked properly early on with fimming, pruning, etc.......

Sweet Seeds description is as follows:

"Feminized and non-autoflowering version with an ultra fast flowering of one of the most potent strains of our catalogue. This strain is the result of the cross between a selected genetic line of SWS31 (Jack 47 Auto®) and an elite clone of our SWS08 (Jack 47®).
The cross between the autoflowering and the non-autoflowering strains originates a non-autoflowering genetic that shortens the flowering time by one week when compared with the original version of SWS08 (Jack 47® original).

This is a very powerful strain that produces exceptionally vigorous plants with thick buds that get fully covered by abundant resin during flowering. The taste and aroma of this strain is fresh and sweet, with tones of incense and flowers combined with lemony citrus hints."

Not much to report........Today is day 22 in veg, might go another week or so. With the back genetics of Mexican, Thai and Haze in there- I am already worrying about stretch. I didn't pinch, but I'll be bending for sure. My only comment is I can sure see the Jack Herer in the plants, which I've grown numerous times....

A week later from the last picture.....I started flowering 2 days ago, scared with height concerns- especially after my last Lemon OG Kush grow where a number of plants became unruly and quite tall. These Jack47's have, on the most part, stayed fairly short and bushy so far. But I know they elongate quite a bit so I flowered after 26 days in veg........ and still trying to decide whether to use the tomato cages or not....

they look healthy as you've said I can't tell if you're gonna need the cages I'm guessing it might be necessary if you're expecting heavy buds that might pull limbs out of prime light or even snap them

The issue is whether I can get the cages thru the plants now.....I'll decide today or tomorrow and go from there. Otherwise, easy grow so far.

Hey Mo...... I found my next strain after the Jack 47. I ordered 24 seeds tonight, Imperial Genetics "Kurple Fantasy". It's an early "92" OG Kush X Old Mountain Man Purps. Basically, a kush X purple urkle. Very grape like, 75% indica. I'm told it's big in Colorado right now. There's a great Youtube video of a guy reviewing it, taking monster hits. I'll try to post the link.

Hey man, that sounds real nice hey, don't mind a bit of the grape myself! Are there many pheno's or are they mostly indica?

Check this out........LOL

In my research it appears it's a nice mix of sativa and indica, but leaning more towards the body buzz. Regarding how many pheno's, still not sure but I'm looking at grow reports every day.
