Possible heat stress due to change in temperature? Help is greatly appreciated!

Hello guys!

This will be my first harvest and this is my first grow :) I am currently running two 8 bulb T 5's in a 5 x 10 secret jardin 300w. I have a few plants ahead of the others but all plants seem to be showing these consistent stress signals.

For a little background...the summer sun in my area gets to 90-93f during the day, I ran into an issue with the temperature a week ago with the temps in the tent reaching up to 97-98f during the late afternoon! I saw the plants cupping and saw limitations in their abilities to transpire. I broke down and bough a window ac units with 8,000 btu's two days ago. I have now brought the temperature down to a consistent 73f in the evening and up to 76-78 during the day. Other signs of stress I see on the plant are yellowing and even almost burnt yellow on the edges of a few select leaves. I also have seen drastic drooping on the tips of some fan leaves as well.

I spray neem oil on my plants every 72 hours and water them with filtered tap water. They are planted in 707 Roots Organics soil. I keep my lights on 24-0. I did a PH reading just a minute ago and it read 5.5

My question is, do you think the pictured stress on my plants that I have posted is from the influx in heat and then drastic temperature drop? Or do you think I am combatting other issues?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! I am looking forward to contributing, learning, and growing to the best of my abilities. Very thankful I found such an active forum!

Congratulations on your grow, it looks like you have a good start! I'm posting a malady Chart that I think will come in handy looking for defeciencies. Your pH sounds a little low.

I look forward to how your garden turns out, I wish you the best

Appreciate the words and the help! I am looking forward to all aspects of the process, even some of the tougher ones. Thank you for attaching that chart, I am thinking of adding some calcium and magnesium to the soil. Do you think I should wait a few days before making this decision? I currently don't use any nutrients and would like to combat the issues I have run into with what I assume to be the heat changes. Thank you again!

I agree with Buds, I would just wait and watch. How long have they been growing?
The taller veg plants pictured have been growing for 5 weeks from seed and the seedlings pictured have been growing 2 weeks from seed. I am going to be patient and positive. :)

I have not been getting water on the leaves, but I have been using neem oil on the plants as a preventative measure for spider mites, as one of my taller veg plants showed white spots.

man spider mite do noy just apear one day in your grow room so there is no need for the prevention they need to be brought into the grow room from a source

Nah your fine, but the plants in veg usually like it around 80-84 IMO. With some humidity to go with it.

I think I may have burned the plants with the use of neem oil, is there any opportunity for recovery from this?
Cannabis is a very resilient plant, they should be ok. If you are trying to foliar feed or spray the plants it works better to do so when they're not in direct light.

It's all a learning experience, don't stress too much
