That is 100% organic, no till garden. I can scale it up to as big as I want. With the mulch, no weeds.
I put my amendments, then cardboard, then mulch. Come fall I let the chickens scratch and poop in it.
Come spring redo it. Its a lot of work in the beginning but runs itself once its started. Next year I'm adding drip lines.
I use a rain catch.
Yes, if big ag failed there might be caos for a bit but it would settle down.
I raise chickens, beef and pork. I would share my heirloom seeds with neighbors and trade animals off. We would go back to a simpler life style.
It is silly to think we would go extinct without big ag.
Hell, with big ag playing with GMO and such might be what's kills us.
I saved some GMO and tried to grow the next year. They were all over the place with phenos and mutations.
What happens if big ag fails and we don't have a place to buy thier seed?
Don't get me wrong. I buy hybrid seeds to grow which is not GMO but you can't save them either. I also have thousands of heirloom seeds saved. I have enough food on hand to feed my family for well over a year.
