so i was out and about my travels in oz when i met a native abo guy at the pub after a few beers and a couple of lines he said he had sum bud from up north that one of his uncles grew.so we make our way back to his place where he had about 2 pounds wrapped in paper bark yes i heard me right papper park ,after a few cones of the nicest pot i have ever smoked i asked him about the hole papper bark thing he said it was in his culture and it has always been done that way they beleave that wrapping it in papper bark and leaveing it in a dry cool well ventalated area helps with the cureing process and helps in not breaking down the crystals due to the moister of the bark

This is why you dry slow and dark. Birch bark should make bud taste like bark. A dehumidifier set at 62% should do the job, without the bark taste.
Curing with bark sounds gross. Maybe his area is dry, so he needs moisture? Maybe that's why it's been done like that?
Bacon is moist... Mmmm

55%, I've found 62% is prone to mold if you accidentally get the jars too warm. 62% is also NOT what you want your dealer or dispensary to use, unless you like paying cannabis prices for water?? I don't. VERY popular with people who sell cannabis.

55% flower pulled out in a low humidity area, is perfect for burning after just the length of time it takes to roll a joint. Beautiful. I feel sorry for folks in higher humidity areas.

I was talking about drying. I cure at 57%. Takes 7-10 days to get there. I control how long it takes. When the humidity starts to drop sharply, I try to hold it. Slow drying gives me super stinky buds.

It does indeed.

I'm pretty sure the 62% nonsense came from people using the Boveda packs. The 62% is just the closest they have to 55%.

Sorry, but after 15 years of doing this, that kinda reads like "And I use both hot and cold water when I wash my hands, so I don't burn myself or get them too cold."

Yes, exactly the way I dry them as well. ;)

Good! You assumed earlier that I cured with high humidity. I elaborated a bit.
