Having a better yield now with the table vise. 250 for 25 sec right now. I have slowly been dropping the temps and increasing pressure as I become more comfortable with the process.
From what I have noticed so far:
Lower temperature = easier to gather and a longer press.
More pressure = more yield
Pressure + heat is causing steam which is the sizzle we hear. I have been repeatedly pressing until I hear the steam flow slowdown.
Pressure seems to be the most important thing for yield followed by heat and time. I feel like the intense pressure and heat is causing the trich heads to break and be forcibly shot out of the center through steam.

Just a sneak peak. Hoping to get a gram or two off my trim. Haven't weighed yet but I think I may have over a half gram so far.
One of my patients is willing to pay 40 a gram. So every bit helps. An extra 80 bucks a harvest would be nice.

I think I may have gotten a gram off the trim. Pop nugs will be done soon. I probably could have gotten more off the trim if I had known what I was doing from the beginning.

Took me a good while to collect all the rosin from the trim. Hurt my neck being stooped over the paper for collection. lol.

I know that feeling! I've learned 2 good ways to collect it. First being glass wand. My favorite way. I roll the mine with my thumb and pointer finger while applying pressure on the tip.
Another way I learned (soil grown technique) is to use a square of parchment and just keep swiping it on to the oil until it all builds up.

Yeah. If you google glass rod you'll see what I mean. Your local head shop should have them in stock for a ridiculous mark up.
It's the cool temp of the glass that helps lift the oil

Little over 11 weeks. If she had been a faster finisher, I may of considered keeping her around. Very cherry smelling and a great yielder. Idk.. maybe I will see if she will reveg. She was a very healthy plant beginning to end.
