100 lbs Dreams

I moved back to Cali not too long ago and set some lofty goals for myself this year of pulling off a 100 lbs outdoor grow. I haven't grown cannabis in years but I have past experience both indoor and outdoor, being a native to the green triangle; growing herb has always been a big part of my life. The county I live in now allows for a max of 24 plants so I knew I would have to pull over 4 lbs per plant to reach my goal which would be a challenge no doubt but not unheard of. So I started beans Feb. 27th cuz if you want mosters we all know you gotta start early.

By March 5th this is what we're looking like image.jpegStrains are as follows:
-Bluedream
-Blueberry
-Skywalker OG Kush
-The Mega
-Girl Scout Cookies
-Blackberry
-Sweet Purple
-Kaia Kush

By March 15th they are becoming distinctly recognizable and have been in their 1 gallon pots for over a week.image.jpeg and the weather is nice enough that I start taking the girls outside for short periods of time to help them adjust to the outdoorsimage.jpeg
On March 22nd i took the girls out of the house for good and put them in a small 8x8 greenhouse that I kept heated with a space heater; they were transplanted into 5 gallon pot.image.jpeg

The weather would drop below freezing and many nights I would have to wrap the greenhouse with a tarp and add an extra heater just to keep the girls safe from the coldimage.jpeg

On nice days when I had time I would take the girls out of the greenhouse for some fresh air(the greenhouse is vented with fans so I guess...even more fresh air!)image.jpegBy April 6th I had added an extra 8x8 greenhouse onto my existing greenhouse to give the girls room to grow, I also added a wood palette floor.image.jpeg
April 15th I transplanted from 5's to 7's

I have a couple questions hope you don't mind. Why so many transplants? One size pot then another size pot why not just put the seed where it's going to end up anyway. Is there an advantage to doing things this way? Good luck with the grow looking very nice.
