Flowering in July. Is that earlier than normal

Completely normal. A lot of new growers think the light during day has to reach exactly 12/12 to induce flower. Pretty much right after summer solstice the days begin to get shorter by minutes, once you get around 14/10 your plant will begin flower. Fellow grower had his flower first week of July and will be done by late August (lucky bugger) must of been the strain. Cheers and happy growing.

My goal is to start flowering by august 1st so i can harvest around the end of september in an effort to avoid growing in october rains cuz i live in wet oregon.

Its ghe 5th and im barely stsrting to flower, im nervous about it enough to put up a shade tent to create dark rooms for them til about 11am each day to kik them into flower like now.

Your lucky... Hope u get to harvest late september gl

I noticed putting a plant in dark for 24hrs prior to kicking it into bloom helps speed up the transition time from veg to bloom.
Might be worth a try. Mine also getting transition nutrient mix to help force transition as now is the time it should start anyway. Last year we didnt get flowering to start til august 25th and it screwed up harvest week bad cuz rain

Checked on my baby last week and noticed she stared to bloom. July 28th seems a few weeks early compared to my other grows. Anyone else Flowering?
It has been a weird year here in NorCal I have some plants going off early it might be the really warm nights and hot days or the hot then cold rainy spell this spring who knows.

I think we all want our girls to flower August 1st but not very likely unless you have a early bred strain. I've been told the strain I have OG KUSH from DiNAFEM is a late bloomer, I'll probably be in the October boat harvesting. If I had done more research I would have got a different strain, only time will tell.

I say give t a shot on the tent for darkness. I know it will work 100%, reason why, well I put my girls (month half) ago in an area where they got maybe 3-6 hours of light due to foliage around and they began to flower within a week. I had to move them into a full sun area and reverted back to veg, so it can be done just gotta put some science into it. Good luck, cheers and happy growing.
