Watering my autoflower question

Hey guys I have a question.
I am putting my autoflower seed right into a 2 gallon pot.
I'm used to using a small cup to start but its bad to transplant autoflower plants.

So my concern is how much water I should use with such a big pot. If I water the whole thing the water will sit in their because the plant is just beginning to grow.
I was thinking just put a little water in at first, then add more as the plant gets bigger.

If their is too much water in your pot can it cause mold or anything like that because the soil would stay wet for a long time if I filled the whole pot with water. Sorry if this question is stupid but I really want to get this right.

I start mine right in 3 gallon pots. Just make sure when you water you only use a little bit and try to just keep the top soil moist.
Lately I've been filling my pots two-thirds of the way with very dry soil then mixing the top third with water to make it nice and moist for the seed.

Just make sure you're not planting in mud and you should be fine

Use a spray bottle too mist the top of the soil for the first few days of your seedlings life, also too germinate, don't wanna wash your seed down your pot before she sprouts

Spray bottle and when the poke through continue to use small amounts of water around the new babie .....your rite don't water the whole thing .....I water a circle around my baby plants in large pots and just slowly increase the watering circle until I'm finally watering the whole pot once the plant is large enough .....if your used to plants in cups just roughly water them the same but I use a spray bottle and then I go to a water bottle with tiny holes punched through the screw on lid so when I squeeze it water comes out softly and I don't over water .....just my techniques for small seedlings good luck
