The big cola.
It's an extra 25% power minus a bit of efficiency... so say somewhere in the region of 22% more light. Can someone help me calculate how many lumens, or lumens per watt, will result from pairing hlg240-1750 with 4 (36v) cxb 3590? Thanks, I'm trying to get an idea how bright it would be compared to my 4 (36v) cxb 3590 at 1400mA. Thanks
With your DIY chops, you should forget the 3590s. At least if you build like your last light, wasn't that just bare cobs, and bar heatsinks? That avoids any of the usual difficulties using the Citizen 1825 or 3618s, and they are both better choices to run above 50W.Can someone help me calculate how many lumens, or lumens per watt, will result from pairing hlg240-1750 with 4 (36v) cxb 3590? are u running drivers @ 1400ma?Did I make a mistake???
Got this going on.
My new light.
4 3590's and all the mounting stuff.
Those heatsinks?
I got 140mm heatsinks, thinking the 140 was high...not wide. Shoulda checked...oh well too late now.
Those heatsinks are huge.
Can I use them? They are not too big? I can always build accordingly.
Don't know your area so used 4 square foot on the calcCan someone help me calculate how many lumens, or lumens per watt, will result from pairing hlg240-1750 with 4 (36v) cxb 3590? Thanks, I'm trying to get an idea how bright it would be compared to my 4 (36v) cxb 3590 at 1400mA. Thanks
No mistakes there. That's awesome. Remember the better you cool the more efficient your cobs run, so enjoy the 140mm overkill.Did I make a mistake???
I have a question for you sir .They have several different iceLED coolers which one do you recommend for the clu058?No mistakes there. That's awesome. Remember the better you cool the more efficient your cobs run, so enjoy the 140mm overkill.
yeah and that is also how I plan to build these next 2 lights for my 4x4' tent. I will check into those citizen cobs. thanks @JorgeGonzales @MrTwist1 @coreywebsterwasn't that just bare cobs, and bar heatsinks?
looks familiar lol....looking good broThe big cola.
I really like the look of the CLU048 1825... in fact my next build will utilise 8 of them run at 1400mA for around 72W each, and around 580W total. At this current they are approximately the same efficiency as CXB3590 putting out 50W. They cost about the same price as the CXB, so it's a no brainer really. I plan to run this in 4x4 using 3 x HLG-240H-C1400 or similar.yeah and that is also how I plan to build these next 2 lights for my 4x4' tent. how many citizen 3618, would replace 8 cxb 3590s given the same current and voltage? or would I have to run the citizens at a lower current?
edit: looking at the specs of the CLU058 3618, looks like it needs to run at like 1050mA or 700mA, it needs a low current right?
The CLU058 actually work out cheaper for me. £31.75 each. vs £26.92 + 20vat because I cant get them anywhere near that price within Europe. The CLU058 1825 I can get in my own country for the above price so no VAT and should save on delivery charges on top of that. From Primelight if any Europeans are interested.I really like the look of the CLU048 1825... in fact my next build will utilise 8 of them run at 1400mA for around 72W each, and around 580W total. I actually assumed you had already bought the CXBs for this build, otherwise I would have told you about these COBs sooner. Peace
Sorry my bad... I actually meant the CLU058 1825. Early tests show them to be really good COBs. If u can get them cheaper than 3590 I'd say you'd be a fool not to grab them. This way you can run close to 600W from only 8 COBs, which I think was what you were really wanting to do, right? The CLU058 actually work out cheaper for me. £31.75 each. vs £26.92 + 20vat because I cant get them anywhere near that price within Europe. Yeah my aim is to replace my 600w hps in my 4x8, its actually a 1.2mx2.4m but 4 x 8 is close enough. I have 1800w of hps in there.Sorry my bad... I actually meant the CLU058 1825.
