New kid on the block.

Hi all, I'm new here, I'm just coming towards the end of our very first grow, it's actually kind of why I joined. I'm having some difficulty determining whether it's time to harvest as I have no previous experience for comparison, Is there a place I could post a couple of magnified images for some guidance?

A little bit about the grow.

We have never tried anything like this. We decided it would be a fun experience together so bought some seeds (sensi) and tried two of them. Soaked in water for 48 hours, folded in a napkin until the tap roots popped out and then planted in a small pot of compost.

I guess at this stage I should mention that this is a budget operation for us, we chose an auto feminised skunk and since sprouting have lived in a cabinet in the garage under fluorescent lighting. We're in about week 12 from rehydration and there are some buds that look crystalley.

I've read that I need to be looking for 60% of the trichromes to be milky but I can't identify milky!!

Forgive my nievity, but there the little white 'hairs' that grow on the sugar leaves and buds right? I'm waiting for a stronger magnifying glass to arrive.
Welcome to the fold!

60 x Loupe (at least) is must have equipment for your next grow. Under $10 on ebay.

Once you get your loupe they will look like little mushrooms with a stalk and a ball head. They will be like glass or see thru in the beginning. When they say "milky" the glands will literally look white and you won't be able to see thru them. Only 60% milky might be a bit too early. I usually wait until almost all of them are milky and a couple will start having an amber color forming in the head of the gland. But there are mixed opinions on what's best with that.
