Well I have myself a couple hermies and I been scratching my head trying to think if I fucked up and stressed them but I never in 10 years had one not saying it's not impossible in not the best grower but my conditions are tight I spent plenty of money insuring that well I have 5 diff strains growing 3 plants were Amherst sour D by HSO then Pineapple Express #2 by G13 Labs headband by HSO big worm DPD Serious Ak and White Russian anyway I always liked HSO but out of all of these plants only the 3 Amherst hermied very disappointing cause they looked beautiful. I check them every day they are 4 weeks in and the pineapple the white hairs are turning brown so in assuming its pollenated just wanted to voice my opinion on top of that all 3 phenos were basically identical

It's a genetic thing because so many pollen chuckers call themselves growers without understanding how dominant and recessive genes work. You can also partly blame our over-hybridization of the species as a whole.

I had their Dr greenthumb herm. Grown their gear for years with excellent results hope they get their shit together.
I've pretty much always had them in my garden usually a quadrant of their gear but every single one hermied of the Amherst would've been super fire too. Well at least all 3 seeds produced identical phenos they were splitting images so it's stable. It's a stable hermie

Just think about how it's guna be further down the road .....I swear it's like everybody is a big time breeder seed bank now days and it gives a bad name to the guys who put in work to ensure a quality hardy plant with good genetics .......I'm just a grower myself but I've seen some sad looking shot the last few years and it seems these types of stories are more common ........better luck next time OP

In my experience long before I bought seeds, I came across some kill which contained two seeds , decided to grow them out both females , both stressed to high heat of 100 F due to a power loss. Threw some nanners and gave me some seeds , which in turn produce better or as good as some well known names and have never threw nanners or hermed again. There is a difference between Nanners and a true Herm.

Hugh interesting I always just toss herms or males because I'm just in it for the ladies like we all are of course ......but I got a few seeds from some herb a friend grew 2 years back .....I usually grow clones cause I have a great connection down in SO CAL so I don't do seeds unless there special or I'm wanting a different variety ....point being I've often thought about some of the great smoke I've grown from seed over many years and all the potential seeds I could of had that I just tossed .......I just worry about cross contaminating .....

I agree with you but to me if a plant herms at a 100 degrees I don't want it in my grow room. If a plant herms from stress I don't want it. A plant should be able to tolerate outside conditions which include hot days heavy winds heavy rains limbs will break etc this thing had it made 76 degrees 50% humidity plenty of light no leaks and all 3 beans were same pheno and hermed that's a true hermie to me. I always like their genetics and never had a problem if I caused a hermie ok can't blame the breeder but when there 21 other plants in that room and only the 3 sour Amherst hermed I'm not happy with HSO or their tactics of breeding
