Going to do a small indoor. Something in the range of 4x4 3x3 3x5 4x6 ? I am not looking to go much more than 1000w total. Maybe a lil more but not much. Single room for veg and flower and i can/will flower seperatly down the road. Looking to do 2,3, or 4 plants. Probably scrog. I only do outdoor, so i am familiar with soil but would consider hydro if feesable.

Im mainly looking for a light option. I start my seeds and veg for a lil bit under a 150w hps along with a kessil 150w led. I know those arent enough for what i am looking for so i need some help on pocking a good light. Pretty much looking for best bang for the buck.

Lighting budget is anywhere from $150- maybee $300 if it is really wirth it. Maybe more depending ?? Ill build the grow room around the light or buy a tent to correspond etc.. Its my first real indoor adventure so all help is greatly apreciated.

My thoughts are a 600w hps? Or a 6-750 de ? Im not to familiar with led soo?? As far as brands , i have NO idea so thats where i need more insight.. The sun is my light so this is all new to me. Please pardon my ignorance in advance.

If you are on a budget, you need to consider how you are going to cool your space. If you can cool it, then an hps could be a great way to go. If you are like oh shit, cooling, then maybe look into led's.

As far as cost the 600/750 DE are great, 429$ good for a budget. But they do put out a lot of heat. You could run 1 in a 4x4 or 5x5 tent with a carbon scrubber up top sucking air out and vents open on the bottom and maybe 1 oscillating fan for the canopy. As long as you can keep the heat down in the room this is a solid choice. If your budget was unlimited Cob led all the way. If the DE lighting is too much, you could roll with the single ended 600 or 1000 watt and vent your exhaust out the room.

Im kinda looking into some led's. For a few more $ than a Gavita, I could get some Cxb3590 's. Would the investment be worth it ?

If you are interested in LED's, you should go look in the LED threads. There is tons of info in there. You would get a better understanding of what others have tried and currently use.

Yup I second this. I'm just starting to make the switch to cob myself, but it is expensive, so is my weed:blsmoke:

Iuse cfls but you need a lot but the watts are super low but led is a bit more $ but use the proper spectrum for plant growth. Do a little googling for prices and specs that fit your needa

Let me shoot you straight. This is kinda a complicated answer. Find out what route you ant to go for your flower first. Then adjust your Veg to that. Thats what I always do in my opinion. Like for instance say you are going with modern HPS. You might want to veg your plants out a little more then a T5 could do. So if you go traditional get a better veg method whatever you may decide. I recommend T5 for DE lights or DE metal Halides are just starting to hit I am currently testing one now I will let you know.. But there not cheap you see. Thats what you asked for.. I would get a 8 tube T5 it will get you buy and either should be relatively cheap. There usually all over Craigslist. Now.. For flower... DE is better undisputed. But you got to have the head room. How tall are your ceilings? This is a question you have to ask before even considering. You need a minimum OF 8FTTTTTT. it won't work any other way unless you only grow indica and veg for a week or two. I am sure someone out there is proving me wrong right this second. But save your hair.. unless you can afford a 3500 Ac mini split 7 ft ceilings won't work.. And if you ever upgrade to more than 2000 watts. Window units won't work either your going to have to buy a mini split. I have 5 DE Nanolux covering a area of 25 square feet and i have 34000 BTU cooling it and it hardly keeps up over 95 outside keep that in mind...IDK so if you go traditional HPS I would get Solisteck or lumatech I would go with Hortilux bulb and a magnum hood. if you go DE there all pretty close to the same.. as long as its a package system buy the cheaper one you can find.. Stay away from normal ballasts doing DE lights it works but i has tested it after 6 months for some reason it levels off. I would go nanolux or gavita? good luck these are just my humble opinions and I am a functioning retard.
