Cloning question PLEASE HELP

I only have one grow tent. This is my first grow. I would love to take cuttings from my plants and use them as clones. I know I can get a humidity dome and rockwool to stick the Clones in. I'm confused as to how I'm going to do this because I only have one grow tent. You're not supposed to take the cutting when it's flowering right? So if I take the cutting in the vegetative state and put it in the rockwool. two weeks later it'll be rooting and be ready to plant. But my older plants are still in the tent flowering. Does this mean I can't clone because I have nowhere to put them? I only have 1 tent. I'm confused.

U need a separate growing are for your clones, they need 18-24hrs of light. They make humidity domes that come with small lights if u don't already have a small wattage "soft" light. It's not the best thing to do but yes u can take a clone off of a flowering plant. I would only do this personally if I had some strain, pheno or something special I couldn't buy or find. I would remove all the buds when u clone and start the revegging process. Good luck bro!

So the only solution is to buy another grow tent right? because I can't just keep them in that humidity Dome for long periods of time. What's the max I can keep clones in a humidity dome for? Thanks

I never had much luck with cloning until I got a small cheap DWC cloner. you can take clones during flowering. it's called monster cloning and depending on how long you veg it may actually work better.plants should be atleast 8 weeks old before you take cutting and I only veg for 6 weeks from seed

The dome is optimum. You can grow a clone simply by cutting it, dipping some clone gel ,sticking in some wet vermiculite and cutting the ends of all the fan leaves off. Keep under soft light and mist it a few times a day. Roots will form and when that happens transplant into soil. I suggest to go right to a flowering light schedule as soon as planted into dirt and put back in grow area.

Then you can turn this

and so on..

Do you have something like a King Cloner? I found the cheap humidity domes to be okay but my success ratio is about 45 to 55%. Misting them a few times a day helps. I am looking to try a King Cloner or Clone King.

no I have one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/261296548224?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT with a small aquarium air pump from walmart. running just tap water. no nutes or rooting compound 3 plants showed roots in 10 days. im still waiting on the fourth plant but even 3 out of 4 success rate for a no maintenance cloner is not bad. it's in my veg closet wit 4 seeds I just started so I mist everything about 4 time a day. I mist my flowering plants as well. here in the high desert humidity is very low most of the time so misting my grow rooms is mandatory

You don't need another tent but it would be preferable.
I use a cupboard with sliding doors and some strip lights in there. My mate gets carried away with too many clones and just gets a cardboard box about 1.5-2ft in all dimensions and cuts a hole in pops a CFL in there.. Any cupboard will do, under the stairs, any space you can put a box. Anything big enough to fit a propagator and a cfl or 30w strip light.
Once they are rooted then you can leave them there for quite some time, with only a cfl and small pots they will sit dormant until you want to use them. If you want to grow them bigger, as in veg them for a few weeks then you will need more light and another tent.
you could build something to veg them if you wanted.
Cloning is piss easy.

I have a 4ft t5 ho dual light fixture over clones on the top shelf in my closet. 100% rooted and I have already topped each one and each have responded strongly. I have since bought a new veg tent but haven't set it up yet because my little plants are holding up great in there.
