Naw, it's fine. They are all different strains & just got defoliated, so their naked! Ha! I put the taller ones in the vertical system. Not to sound like a dick, but those plants are growing tall but they are kinda spindly and stringy. The ones with top lighting are shorter but look more robust. ???
I think the mono clusters are are close to 30 watts each. The pro 4 cobs are Run around 100w each. The pro3 are most likely run at 60 watts each. Sure they are gonna be run harder which takes away life but I have never seen one burn out and by the time they do I'm sure some massive 12" cobs will be out.from what I can tell the cobs are being driven harder in the pro 3 and the pro 3 ho even harder. I didnt know 3070's could be pushed like that, I thought that was the difference between the 3590's and the 3070's- how much power they can handle. But im still learning.
the pro4 makes sense running the 3590's at like 100w each.
What is the impact of running the cobs harder? Shorter lifespan? Potential burn/hotspots?
Big cobs are out. They're made by Citizens. You gotta check out Nevergoodenoughs thread. I think that's his name. I'll post you a link tonight. He builds monster lights w/ 300-500 watt cobs.I think the mono clusters are are close to 30 watts each. The pro 4 cobs are Run around 100w each. The pro3 are most likely run at 60 watts each. Did you notice that site offered the binning of the cobs on the 3+4? Top-bin of course.I think the mono clusters are are close to 30 watts each. The pro 4 cobs are Run around 100w each. why havent you tried to build something yet to fit your empty spaces bro? step down off that wallet and order up some diy cob parts sonz !!!Did you notice that site offered the binning of the cobs on the 3+4? Top-bin of course.
Did you add colors to your DIY bar?
Can't wait to see it.
Did you get a tracking # for your 4's yet?
My blades will be here on the 16th. The plants are 32" now, so I started loli-popping. Usually wouldn't at all for the 48".
If you have 2 of those single cob builds you wanna sell, Lmk. I'll buy 2-4 off you for this grow. Need light bad.
I checked out your grow last night. Impressive stuff. I really like your bars.why havent you tried to build something yet to fit your empty spaces bro? step down off that wallet and order up some diy cob parts sonz !!!
would like to see some more pics when your done loli poppin those bitch's
HH COB Conversion! !!I checked out your grow last night. Impressive stuff. I really like your bars.
It seems to me that you'll be outperforming you DE w/ only 550 or so watts of cobs. I did not think that possible. Am I right? Great documentation. This forum needs more like you.
I grow big plants like that too but don't post pictures of them. I think I've been involved in to much controversy over defending my Amare & SunCloak against the haters & vendors here to feel safe. It's all legit but that doesn't matter when it comes to these guys.
I was going to cage my 2 wide plants. They are Flo by Dj Short. But, after seeing your plants am considering posting them (posts on the outside) & throwing a trellis over the top, like you did! I currently use a double trellis in the big room. Wall to wall. Gotta crawl the whole grow.
If I had more light, I would dedicate the Amare SE-450 & the HH just to those 2 plants (Flo). That would provide another side by side too so we can all be sure the HH sux. But at this point, I think I'm just gonna hang some Sylvania 120 watt replacement spot-lights around the HH to enhance w/ white. Just waiting for Lowes to get them back in stock.
I haven't began to build because I feel Amare has got me covered for almost the same cost & I don't have the time.
But, I am or was a contractor by trade for many years, own all the tools & could build some sick lights w/ housing too. I own a 12' or so break for bending metal. It wouldn't be hard.
Also, I'd have to learn how to do it from scratch rather then buying pre-fab DIY, which is the same cost as a good light.
Nice plant under that Mars too. How's that do in comparison to your other lights. Is it really as bad as people say or do they just lack the skillz?
Glad to have you here. You're a great grower it seams.
Actually, it's been 2 years since I used it. I think it's a 10'.Yeah man crawling sucks, its how i have to get to about 90% of my plants.new shop will def have tables so i can stand up and work.the mars is comparable to a 600w imo but it also gets as hot as a 600 lol.
Dont be shy, show us some them bigger bitchs now n then.ya know you can always say something like "these are a friends plants " lol.
I guess being in a med state i have ki fa relaxed on all that shit.
12 foot brake,i would love to have even a 8 footer.you musta been a siding guy thats a big damn break haha.
Yup, after this grow.N
HH COB Conversion! !!
Awesome! That'll be cool to see. Keep your leds and drivers from it though and use them for side lighting somehow.Actually, it's been 2 years since I used it. I think it's a 10'.
Yeah, did frame to finish, old & new construction. A+ certified w/ the BBB since "07". High ratings on Angies list too as well as a few other sites.
I miss it, but like growing a whole lot better. Maybe I'll slide you a few pics via PM. I posted the HPS room here n there but try not to when it's 12 lbs. deep.
So, if the Mars is about equal to a 600 HPS, how many watts does it use?
When I finally do build, I'll be putting my drivers outside the room like you did.
All my ballasts are outside the room. Same rules should apply.
Ok, ttyl!
Yup, after this grow.
Oh, so your 750watt Mars is about equal to a 600watt HPS? Mmmmnnnhhh, sounds about what I expected from a Mars. Its the mars 2 1600w or so they say lol.it draws like 750w from the wall if i remember right.but its not even 2 years old now and has about 10 burnt diodes.it prolly looks like airwalkers eco light inside, all cramped full of shit lol.
I'd rather not have everyone see me at my first build. Looking dumb. Lol! But maybe.Awesome! That'll be cool to see. Keep your leds and drivers from it though and use them for side lighting somehow.
Definitely do a step by step guide on what you do when you do it, too.
These are not good pics but it's a rough idea. Just started week 3. Almost, all different strains & all new. So in just learning what each plant does & what they like. The Purple Punch turned out to be quite the stretcher & blocks out the photos kind've.Yeah man crawling sucks, its how i have to get to about 90% of my plants.new shop will def have tables so i can stand up and work.the mars is comparable to a 600w imo but it also gets as hot as a 600 lol.

I'm hoping mine stretch soon. They're all just staying SO SHORT it's redonkulous. These are not good pics but it's a rough idea. Just started week 3. Almost, all different strains & all new. I use side-lighting but that blocked out too. Lol!!
This is a great run though because it's my first one using the mini-split.
First time having adequate Co2 because of it.
