Im just wondering how many plants some of you people are able to cram into any specific dimension. Also, if you're doing SoG what veg period are you using? I got a 4x4 space and I want to cram 16 girls in there vegged for 25 days. Im not really sure if I can get away with this without mass overcrowding, but we'll see.

Good question. I would like to see some answers on this.
ive seen 238 plants on a 4x8 minus 2 for the drain fitting im going to run 58 on a 2x4 with a 600w soon with no veg time i have blue berry right now going to run 4 plants a week on a 2x4 table running a total of 32 with 2x 400w i vegged my first bb while my mother catches up but at a foot impushing itbeing they will be atleast 18inches at harves and 8-12 inches wide

devknob: you can do 16 in a 4X4 area but will only be able to veg for about 15 days (from clones)...remember ideally you have to be able to tend to your plants rotate them around in your grow space and check for bugs & other possible problems..... if they get too bushy you will have a hell of a time doing this !!!!
TY for the responses. I like the 25 day veg cause it fits into my rotation best since I dont wanna clone flowering plants. Is there a buffer time in between when a clone is a clone, and a clone is veging? Also perhaps cramming 12 in my 4x4 space would allow for a 25 day veg, Ya think?
FYI Im going to be growing this strain Avalanche that doesnt seem to get very bushy.

with a long veg like you said 22 days or whatever your system is you could get 12 in there but in 30 days your not going to even be able to turn them I say 8-9 of that strain at 16 plants in 4x4 area is not much space per plant I think if you go that tight you need to help them alot do you have good hydro set-up? how many site 40-60? Co2 enrichment? Greenmeds knows whats going on....but maybe I'm just scared to take that chance....I look forward to see how it works with 16 in there I really hope it works out, how many you norml do? are you gonna compair yeild of last to this? just wondering sorry so long

I don't have the expertise neccessary to accurately answer your question. However, I can show you what 5 plants (from SEED) look like in soil with approximately 21 days of veg time before switching to 12/12. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), most SOGers do not veg clones this long.
The plants below occupy a space that is 2' x 3'. This is ONLY the space the plants occupy; this does not include fan(s), or any of the other neccessities that hang out in the grow area. The first pic is the last day of 18/6 and first day of 12/12 depending on how you look at it. The second pic is appx 48 hrs after switching to 12/12. You can clearly see it may get a little crowded in there before it's all over.
Approximately 3 large clones were taken from each plant, and each plant was topped or FIM'd at 5 - 6 nodes. Both of these techniques may lend the plant to becoming more bushy. FWIW, two are indica dominant; three are sativa dominant. I'm not trying to hijack your thread, just wanted to show you what 1 plant / squarefoot looks like with 21 days of veg. IMHO, it would be damn near unmanagable vegging for 25 days with 1 plant/sf.

All soil, Many site 40-60? I dunno what that means. Ill be doing some cheapo c02. This is my first grow, so I guess im gonna find out how many I can get away with. Ill just put 16 in there and if it gets bad, ill yank a couple and put it on a street corner at like 1 in the morning. Wouldnt that be funny as hell to see. lol
