I have wanted to grow for a long time. Since 2003 maybe. My work selling commercial Mexican brick weed got in the way. Then the cocaine business. Then the prison time.. lol.

So here I am. I did a grow with no harvest because I was interrupted. So I'll just say my recent grow was my first.

I've harvested about a pound. No joke intended.
I had plenty of problems.
I've learned alot.

So I'm curing now and getting my second grow going. You can see the journal in my signature. Not only are you welcome to opine anytime but I would really appreciate it.

I thought I could tag everyone who helped me out with my grow but I know I would miss people.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who take their time to help others.
I couldn't have done it without you guys.
I can't just go down to the local extension office and have them take a look at my weed..

I must have saved years with the knowledge from other growers here.

So if you ever read a newbie post with some stupid question and you take your time to try and help out, Thank You very much.

humility.jpg Dude, that has to be one of the inspiring and all around coolest posts I have read on RIU...and I have read a ton of them!

Now, I must 'ride on your coat tails' and say that this is a wonderful community indeed. Personally, I feel honored when a new grower seeks out my opinions and possible direction. I am sure I am not the only one here with an ego...and sometimes y'all really make my head swell. So yeah it is awesome when a first time grower starts a conversation with you and asks for help, posts a thank-you on your profile page, follows you and subs to your journal. However as a caveat...the relationship between 'newbie' and 'mentor' is as symbiotic as it is with grower and plant....and I have gained a wealth of knowledge here. The 12 step programs have a saying..."You can only keep what you have by giving it away" Thanks to my RIU friends I have kept some real treasures.
