My advice when growing a new strain is to wait until it can be harvested, then begin the flush. Guessing opens the very real possibility of finding yourself having to choose between a premature harvest or the reintroduction of nutrients, the latter only after significant nutrient deficiency [that will cause a loss of yield] has already occurred.I just can't tell when I'm supposed to start.
they look immature probably a 55 60 day strain anyway leave the flush until the bud is ready to harvest...you can always go a little longer after a plant can be harvested and it wont affect the bud quality...its too easy to flush and harvest early learn in your grows to let them go longer..keep an eye on tri cone colour see through is immature cloudy is ready make sure there are more than 50 per cent cloudy before you think of harvesting and amber about 10 to 20 percent is where most people like to harvest...use all your nutrient regime as long a poss in your grow and put the flush in at the last minute this way you maximise the effect of the nutrients to the max.Hi everyone, I'm back.
I know I have to flush my ladies for a week or maybe 10 days before harvest, I just can't tell when I'm supposed to start.
This is day 45 flower, sensi seeds super skunk.
thanks and happy growing

I would start to flush at day 60 for a 8-9 week strain (the plants almost never finish at week .Your thc levels will drop if you wait to long and will turn into sleepy bud mate. I actually like sleepy bud.as I sayd I'm a newbye on his first grow, I don't understand, you sayd to start flushing when it can be harvested, but if I wait 7-10 more days my thc level wont drop?
Don't ever tell people to flush in these forums ever again.I would start to flush at day 60 for a 8-9 week strain (the plants almost never finish at week .Your thc levels will drop if you wait to long and will turn into sleepy bud mate. I actually like sleepy bud.
Why are you going to flush?Hi everyone, I'm back.

I say fuck all that shit and feed em until you chop them. Especially since you don't really know when you are going to chop.I strictly followed goldlabel instructions, and so far everything looks great, if you consider this is my first grow I'm really really happy, in the nutrients schedule they put a week of flush before harvest. My problem is: sensi seeds super skunk is a strain with short flowering period 45-50 days I know I have to harvest way sooner than week 10 so I was hoping someone could tell how many more days my buds need before they are ready.

So when someone asks when they should flush tell them to not flush and destroy the taste of their crop? Yeah not gonna happen mate. I'll always help people out and if you don't like it you can kick rocks.Don't ever tell people to flush in these forums ever again.
Stop spreading false science.
Flushing isn't helping. So when someone asks when they should flush tell them to not flush and destroy the taste of their crop? Yeah not gonna happen mate. I'll always help people out and if you don't like it you can kick rocks.
You're just making everything up. Flushing is the standard like it or not.Flushing isn't helping.
Destroy the taste of their crop? For one, you can't flush a plant. 2nd, taste comes from a proper dry and cure, and has absolutely nothing to do with nutrients in the soil.
If you have good healthy soil, you'll never have "excessive salt build up".
Lastly, those last 2 weeks are when they use and require the most nutrients, depriving them of vital nutrients at their most critical point is just stupid and does nothing.
Flushing goes against plant biology, period. That's the real science, not the old school hippie myth. Flushing is only to be done if your soil is toxic, nothing else.
If you want to help people, great, but don't feed them bullshit information
I don't think it's the "standard".You're just making everything up. Flushing is the standard like it or not.
If all the big dispensaries flush then I'll keep flushing. Worst case scenario I don't have to smoke ammoniacal nitrogen found in your favorite fertilizers. Best case scenario I don't get a disease that could have been prevented. On most of those fertilizers it says it has substances known to cause cancer and birth defects. Why would I wanna smoke that shit mate.I don't think it's the "standard".
I think it's common.
I don't think it's doing any good though.
I'm a newbie. But I can't find any biological science that shows that you can flush a plant.
I see alot of people saying to do it. I see articles but never any scientific explanation.
I didn't flush mine and they don't taste bad.
There are alot of things commonly done that isn't really necessary and sometimes detrimental.
Alot of old school motorcycle riders say don't use the front brake but the front brake has the most stopping power.
Alot of people think carrots help with eyesight. And so on....
Do you even understand how nutrients work?If all the big dispensaries flush then I'll keep flushing. Worst case scenario I don't have to smoke ammoniacal nitrogen found in your favorite fertilizers. Best case scenario I don't get a disease that could have been prevented. On most of those fertilizers it says it has substances known to cause cancer and birth defects. I know that there is a whole new renaissance period going on where every one is doubting flushing and thats ok. And I know that most people don't care whats in their food, herb or drink But I just want to make sure that myself and everyone around me is consuming cannabis in the safest and cleanest way. Now the guy asked when he should flush his plants and i gave him an answer. The only question is why are you here? lol I mean stay on topic or go somewhere else is what I'm saying mate. You can smoke arsenic for all I care but don't try to convince me to smoke it with yaDo you even understand how nutrients work?
The microbes in your soil eat the salt minerals and convert it into sugar, which is sent to the plant's flowers.
You can't flush sugar out of a plant. The process of breaking down and removing excess sugar from the flowers is called CURING.
You can drown and flush your soil all you want, it has zero effect on already processed sugars.
"If all the big dispensaries flush", got proof of that? I'm a master grower at one of these places, flushing is for amateurs.
You're a moron and don't belong in these forums, period.I know that there is a whole new renaissance period going on where every one is doubting flushing and thats ok.
