Watering

Hello I was curious if I should put nutrients in my water every time I water my plants? I am watering about every 48 to 60 hours. Thanks

No lol. Water enough to dry out in 2-3 days. Keep on the dry side so you dont have gnats. Feeding is done once a week in soil. Follow your feeding schedule

That will depend on what you will be feeding your plant. If you're using strong nutrients you may only need to feed once a week. If you're using organic or less concentrated nutrients in super soil then you might want to feed every watering.

It will also depend on what's in your medium. We don't know if your using soil or water for your medium.

Thanks guys. I am using Roots Organics Formula 707 and the Fox Farms Dirty Dozen starter kit. The plants are looking like it is time to water, it has been about 55 hours so two and a half days. I have been following the feeding schedule from Fox Farms but using 1/4th of the strength because I hear it is better to start slow then ramp it up. I was not sure if if I put Nutrients in the water every time because I did not see it on the pamphlet they gave me.

The fox farms feeding schedule says 2x a week. Imo, thats for growing outdoors and more frequent waterings. So 1 time is what I do with ff. I use ff in my indoor and grow organic outdoor. I would let the soil feed till you see signs its not feeding anymore...then start you fox farms. I use the ff soil, I let it feed for 6wks, then I start wk 4 on the schedule as they go into flower. Nutrients are not cheap, so saving them for flower is ideal if you have soil that will feed thru veg. Watering schedule of every 2-3 days helps you incorporate the feeding schedule easier. Water, water , feed. Water water feeeeed

I like to feed a plant 1 to 4 times a week

most of the time it`s best to but you can get away with food then water food then water

or if I`m watering more than 3 times a week for some reason except for if the pot is too small for the plant then I`ll be more likely to give just water as nutes get expensive, lol

When you say water, nutes, water, water. Do you mean water mixed with the nutrients and then just simple water with no nutrients mixed in?

Yeah I say I water with a feed and then water with just water

well actually its rare I use "just water" now days as normally my water is butted ph`d and has bennies and such added to it

but yeah if you are lazy or can`t afford the time or money to mix up a feed every time you can feed once then give water the 2nd time

but I would try a feed a min of once per week, like I said 3 times a week seems to be kinda peak for feeding but most growers aren't even watering that much

best yields and nicest herbs I`ve had were from dwc or flood and drain type grows

ok soil can give some nice tasty weed but from experience I get more yield and frostier weed from hydro as the plants are being watered constantly with ph`d, ppm`d feed, even running coco if you water more and feed more you get more, soil your kinda restricted as to how much you can water before you just have mud and you`ll get nute burn from over feeding easier

But if you ph, ppm good water in coco atleast you can keep it pretty dam wet just pests and sometimes root rot can become more of a potential issue

but I`ve ran a 1L pot of coco in flood and drain and yeidled more and better herb than a mate using 15L pots that was watering once to 3 times a week

So now days seen as I can`t run a hydro at my current place I use larger sacks than I normally would, I`m using say 40 to 80L pots for plants I would normally use 20 to30L pots for

means you can water once to 3 times a week and still get something a bit like when you use a small pot in a flood and drain or like when you use a dwc still not as good but the guy that gets easy access to the plants is kinda lazy

always seems to fuck up with noticing when they need watering too

and he`s always sleeping when he could be driving me to the plants so that they can grow better

drive me in the car I brought him, that I insured and taxed and tested for him for over a year too

oh well at least he can pay his fooking electric bill now days without much help, lol sorry you reminded me of my own problems lol

anyone with a green house or somewhere I can put a green house in London holla me ? so I don`t have to worry so much about my lazy waterboy friend, lol
